That was a song from a Thrane heavy metal band, whose name was a torture device. He was not sure he understood.
"Honestly I don't." He replied. "We don't have that many tales about kitsune in the City of Peace and I have not looked that up on the net, since I feared that I might misunderstand something. I wanted to allow you the pleasure of taking your time and explaining whatever you thought that I should know."

"Well, there are some good sites online, but sure." Reiha takes a deep breath. "So, you know we're not mortal, right? And we come from Chikushudo? In order to be allowed in Ningen-do we get... restrictions assigned to us. If we don't obey them we lose our powers. Or in some extreme cases we are banished from here.
Now, unlike mortals we don't die, and if we die we are reborn whole, remembering everything. However, unlike mortals we are not free, our own fortune, our fate is set, and that of Chikushudo determined by what happens in Ningen-do."
Reiha shrugs.
"So, you understand why so many of my people are drawn here? Besides, you know, stuff like warm showers and toilets." The Doji must be at ease. Joking is not something she often does. "We can become mortal however, if we stay human long enough!"

He nodded.
"Thanks for the lesson taught." He said and bowed.
"It is refreshing to see you spraking freely and joking. If I say you are more eloquent than most people when your mood is good. I hope we work out ways to maintain that."
He smiled at her.
"Will you escort me at the party tonight?"

Reiha gives a little shrug and slurps up some noodles.
"I do better away from crowds. And with people I know. That said, I'll come to the party. I am going to meet these people in class anyway, so you know, better get it over with. Oh, and that stuff I told about is just the general picture. The kitsune have their own quirks, and each of us has their own restrictions..."

"My experience earlier and your words have allowed me to appreciate that on my own."
He smiled at her.
"I'm glad you see it that way."
