It had been a busy day and it was only after lunch that Yoruga managed to get to the green house. He walked in and checked if Umeko was around. Spotting her he approached and waited to be recognised. He was dressed as usual and his mood was the same as usual. |

Following her lunch with the new Crane sensei, Umeko had made her way back to the greenhouses to check on the many plants. She was currently in Greenhouse 1, halfway hidden behind a curtain of tomato leaves as she grumbled to herself, readjusting one of the sprinklers that had decided to stop spraying water correctly. It took her quite some time to notice the quiet Bayushi, and when she finally turned around and saw him, she jumped, her hand flying to her hip where a weapon would be.
Her fingers grasped only air, obviously. "Heavens! Bayushi-kun, do you HAVE to be so quiet?" She chastised the young man, though there was no sting to her tone. The gardener made her way down the step ladder she had been using, attempting (and failing) to fix her hair which had become a mess. A few leaves were poking out of it here and there.
"What can I assist you with? Has there been any more trouble with your little corner of the greenhouse?"

He gulped as he noticed her move. But apart from that he gave no other reaction. He was used by now to her being jumpy around him.
"Forgive me I did not mean to scare you off." He apologised and bowed. "I just didn't want to impose to disturb your peace also. It isn't something pressing."
He blinked at her second question.
"No, nothing wrong, I just wanted to informed you that I did as you suggested and have worked with the Head of Campus Security. I will be applying the upgrades within the day. Will you need me to submit to you the specifics of the plan?"

She nodded approvingly at him. "Excellent, yes please do. I have a few appointments in the afternoon so if I am not at my office, or if the door is locked, simply leave them in my personal mail box. I am very glad to see you taking this seriously." She smiled at the young man, before starting to walk in the direction of an other sprinkler, checking it as she did. "Other then this little problem, how is your project going?"

"I could just email it to you." He responded.
"Well trying to pass some traits from Asparagus officinalis to Prunus cerasus worked. Now I need to wait for a couple of days for them to grow. This new lamps are being uber helpful."

Interest flashed on the sensei's face. "Amazing!" She said, beaming at the student. "Well done, well done indeed Bayushi-san." She seemed giddy at his success, nodding to herself as she checked the various watering devices. "Don't forget to send a sample to my office once it has grown enough."
The gardener hummed to herself. "Yes, I have to admit the new lamps have been working beyond my expectations. They have done wonders for the tea crops as well. I will have to speak to the principal about buying more to replace all the old ones. Quite the successful start to the year, I would say."

He bowed at the praise and prayed that she somehow forgot about the matured crops. They would contain high concentration of amygdalin, a cyanogenic glycoside and furostanol and spirostanol saponins. Ingestion would induce abdominal pain and vomiting. He gulped.
"If you wish I can make some suggestions. For instance we could use a hydropnics lab." He suggested. "It would boost productivity by a large margin."

"Ah... hello again," Shosuro Saito says flatly to Umeko, pausing a moment before bowing to her. He then looks to the student with whom she'd a moment before been engaged in rapt conversation. The elder Scorpion was accustomed to being the most important person in any given room, so he was quick to assert this position with the question, "Is this the time and place in which you requested I meet you, Yoruga-san?"

Umeko chuckled at the child's suggestion, happy to have someone as invested in the improvement of the Greenhouses then she was. "Indeed, that would be a good addition. I am afraid however that I have already brought it up at the last faculty meeting and was told our budget does not currently allow it. I'm hopeful we can sell some of the flowers in Greenhouse Two to and show the rest of the staff how much our little gardens can be profitable. Maybe that will change their minds on the matter."
She turned at the sound of footsteps echoing in the damp air, surprised to see the Scorpion teacher walking though the fruits and vegetable. She bowed to the man politely, before smiling. "Shosuro-sama, I hadn't expected to see you again so soon." The woman noted, before glancing between the two. Unwilling to stand between two scorpions, Umeko shifted toward an other row of pots. "I see you came to meet young Bayushi-san. I shall leave you to your business, then." She bowed again. "Gentlemen."

He bowed as the ronin praised him again. Then Saito showed up.
"Indeed Shosuro-sensei. I believe you have already met Umeko-sensei..." She excused herself before he had finished his words. He shrugged and looked at the other Scorpion.
"She might be a little afraid of me." He whispered to him as soon as she was outside his hearing voice. "Let's head to greenhouse two. I wished to show you my set up and hear your feedback. I am implementing some security upgrades after consulting with the head of campus security."
