"Our last interaction was similarly fruitful," Saito remarks at Umeko's hasty departure. Once they were alone, he arches an eyebrow at Yoruga. "Afraid of you? Already taking my words of the morning to heart, Yoruga-san?" He chuckles.
"Very well," he replies to the younger man's suggestion, "lead the way."

"Don't get it wrong Shosuro-sensei, but I didn't need your words. I have my grandfather for that." He replied as he handed him a folder.
"This is the security plan I presented to the Head of the Campus Security. As long as I am not distracted it will be implemented tonight. I am sure that with your trained eye you can spot the flaw that was intentionally left so that members of our clan can bypass the alarms and the cameras." He started walking.
"What you probably not see is that inside the text there I have used cryptography to hide another document that contains the list of the poisons, antidotes, drugs and other concoctions that I can create as well as a index of all the plants that I have grown in my part of the greenhouse."
They have reached his place and the Shosuro would notice that there were lots of biohazard and toxic warning signs. He handed him protective mask for his mouth and nose.
"It's better that you wear this. You probably have some immuneties, but they would be useless against some of the plants I grow."

"Don't get it wrong Shosuro-sensei, but I didn't need your words. I have my grandfather for that." He replied as he handed him a folder. "I hope he's someone you respect," Saito replies, taking the offered folder. Yoruga then notices that the teacher is already wearing gloves. It seems he came prepared. "This is the security plan I presented to the Head of the Campus Security. As long as I am not distracted it will be implemented tonight. I am sure that with your trained eye you can spot the flaw that was intentionally left so that members of our clan can bypass the alarms and the cameras." He started walking. "What you probably not see is that inside the text there I have used cryptography to hide another document that contains the list of the poisons, antidotes, drugs and other concoctions that I can create as well as a index of all the plants that I have grown in my part of the greenhouse." "I dabble a bit in botany myself," Saito tells him. "My expertise is chemistry, and there's a fair bit of overlap." He puruses the papers as they walk together. They have reached his place and the Shosuro would notice that there were lots of biohazard and toxic warning signs. He handed him protective mask for his mouth and nose. "It's better that you wear this. You probably have some immuneties, but they would be useless against some of the plants I grow." "Again, in my capacity as chemistry teacher, I too stress safety in one's workspace," Saito says, clearly impressed with Yoruga's cautious and thorough nature.

He nodded.
"I guess I must introduce myself properly. I am Aotora Yoruga. The grandfather I was referring to, was the founder of my family, the son of the Green Tiger. He is standing next to you at the moment. I have little choice but to respect him, since when I am not acting according to his standards he becomes very persistent and that causes headaches."
He paused and blinked.
"He disapproves of your choice to not interview us before assigning us duties. I know about your dubbling, I will be attending your classes. As for safety, well, some of these things are rather invasive and if not handled with caution could easily infest the local ecosystem. I do not think I need to stress out for you how unfortunate that this would be for the residents of the Capital. Some of their toxins can easily incapacitate a grown up human in seconds."

"For the sake of your head," Saito replies, "I hope your grandfather's and my standards align more frequently than they diverge." Or I may have to arrange an exorcism, he adds to himself as he dons the offered mask.
"I can understand his desire for more in-depth interviews," he continues, "but I thought it best to set you upon your tasks without delay. I'll get to know all of you organically over time, and no assignment is set in stone." He listens to Yoruga go on about safety with some irritation.
"No, you needn't stress safety to me," he says a bit testily, feeling he'd already made clear that point a moment before.

He did not seem particularly impressed from the threat.
"It is not something that I control." He responded. "If you so wish I will try to not relate his wishes to you."
"So this is it." He proceeded to give him a tour of the area. In front of each plant he woudl give specific details in scientific terms about its identity and attributes.

Apparently, Yoruga had taken Saito's genuine concern for the pain in his head as a threat to remove it. It was difficult sometimes, trying to maintain authority while still making connections with people. That was probably why he generally avoided attempting the latter.
"No, I certainly respect the opinions of elders who have come before me," Saito replies, "unlike some of your fellow students it seems." He snorts.
As the tour continues, Saito nods at most of the plants, being already familiar with them. One or two exotic ones might give him pause, but overall, he seems to have a fair grasp of what Yoruga has laid out, looking more pleased than the younger man had probably seen him, especially if it was showing through two masks.

"They were never given any reason to do so." He tried to explain.
"They see only their own small bubble and think that they know everything." He added.
"One of the reasons I said that working on information gathering was a waste of my time had to do with the fact that I can barely relate to any of them."

"Part of the reason I gave you the assignment that I did," Saito says with a knowing nod. "There seems to be a greater dearth of the Phoenix at the school than even Imperials. However, no one excels at anything without practice. I have confidence you shall find ways to relate if you try... or invent them if necessary." He cracks a devious smile, reminding Yoruga that there was more than one way to accomplish a task.
"I am hopeful I can talk each of you students out of your own headspace enough to unify you all eventually," Saito tells him, "though I would consider you the furthest along that path currently. Certainly, you only spoke against Yoshikatsu for what you perceived to be the greater good of the whole."

"I understand your reasoning." He responded. "And by tying that to my duty you solved the problem already to a point. Yoshikatsu was among the few people who were nice to me. I just had to do that. He probably hates me now. Nomen was supposedly my girlfriend. Given her new assignment, I suspect that this is about to change. Chiyo...yeah...she has been a total bitch, so her theatrics today were whatever..."
He gulped, hoping that he did not make a fool of himself again.
"Am I to assume that you have been briefed by the Head of Security on my chat with him this morning? If so do I have authorization to get creative with the temp admin profile he gave me? Some data mining will provide more than socializing." He explained.
