He smiled.
"She is a cousin and a hot one in that. We had a thing, but I screwed up." He replied.
"She dumped me recently. I kinda expected it, I mean her? With me... I guess I should feel used." He chuckled.
"What's your story?"

Yoru chuckled at the young scorpions words. "Ah yes she seems like the kind to flit around collecting hearts. Be cautious young cousin, in the wild the most beautiful animals are usually the most deadly."
Yoru shrugged at the question "I am a man who doesn't exist. I go to exotic places and either gather Intel or kill people. Our lady wanted me here to observe and report from the shadows collecting Intel and gave me freedom to do as i see fit to secure power for our clan."

He smiled again.
"Grandfather is happy that I met you." He commented.
"He believes that I am a loser and feels that hanging out with his type of people might fix me. You sound like his type of people. Anyways I am not as worthless as he thinks. I guess I must introduce myself properly." He gulped.
"I'm Aotora Yoruga, herbalist and poisonmaster. I think we two are gonna get along nicely."

Yoru cocked an eyebrow behind his mask "very interesting a poisoner's talents could be very useful. I'm surprised the school let's you practice those skills on the grounds. You indeed do sound fairly useful, I know my way around crafting poisons but you likely are much better with than I."
"Your grandfather seems to be a bad judge of character of if he thinks you hanging out with me is a good thing." Yoru chuckles "so far out of all the little scorpion you're likely my favorite.

"I do not advertise my hobbies. The school knows that I am good with plants. They do not need to know more." He responded.
"As for my grandfather, well, he is laughing and tells me to ask you to train me." He added. "Cousin, we are talking about the son of a peasant that impressed Lord Yojiro enough to make him a samurai, with his own vassal family no less."

Yoru nods "lofty goals to live up to indeed, I have heard the story of Aotora he was a dedicated man and showed great loyalty to the clan. However I imagine he casts a fairly long shadow for those taking the same path as him."
You hear a wry chuckle from behind the mask "as for training you, I take no exception to it. Though I will warn you I had harsh teachers and therefore my style of teach will be less.....refined than the instruction you receive here at the school."

"As long as it will allow me to have less headaches I take it." He replied.
"You keep calling us little. How old are you?"

"Your grandfather may leave you alone a bit but I cannot promise that you will not ache. To become shinobi is no easy thing. There is a reason we are thought of as boogey men and things you tell bad children to get them to behave. You will work your body to the point of breaking. If you agree to listen to my instruction and not question me I will instruct you in the ways of shadow." Yoru's usual dismissive and jovial are is gone his voice is hard and steely.

"My grandfather will never leave. Despite my whining I don't want him too. While I was in the Phoenix lands, he was the only contact I had with being Scorpion." He tried to explain.
He shrugged. "The Isawa are good with many things, but manners against cursed people is not one of them. Anyways I'm glad that you agree to train me. My physique is not the best, but my atunement with fire makes me agile. I hope that I will not disappoint you."
They were walking in the garden of the temple by now.
"When do we start?" He asked.
