Umeko stood by the printer in the corner of the lounge. She was staring unseeingly at the wall in front of her, a can of coffee held an inch from her lips. It was as if the woman had been frozen in time, a second before taking a sip. Beside her, the printer worked, the soft noise of the machine the only sound in the room at the moment.

Utaku Genji came through the door of the teacher's lounge with his own stack of notebooks under his right arm. The sensei smiles just a touch as he catches sight of Umeko, offering the ronin woman a respectful bow before going to get a cup of tea.
"Umeko-san! Good to see you this morning. Has Inari favored you today?"

In came Eito with a bag filled with something or either as he goes to get his morning coffee. He gives a bow to the two present, lingering a second on Umeko with a mischievous glint in his eye. "Utaku-san. Umeko-san. Blessed morning to both of you. I hope you are well?"

The girl yelped, jumping in surprise. The can slipped from her startled fingers, dropping to the ground with a loud CLANK. She blinked a few times at Genji, her face turning a few shades redder. "G-genji-san." She stammered slightly. "Erm, good morning." She quickly knelt down to pick up the can, groaning in annoyance at the spilled coffee. Her panic only rose as Eito walked in right after the Utaku, and she froze like a deer caught in the headlight, kneeling on the ground. Obviously flustered, the botanist shot back up, bowing to the Spider. "B-blessed morning, Ei--Shibatsu-sama." She threw the can in a bin, glancing around for something to clean the spill with.
Unconcerned with the events around it, the printer calmly kept going, page after page.

A young woman enters the teacher's lounge dressed in a white gown. A stethoscope hangs loosely from her neck and various blue pens can be seen in the pocket of her gown . Mirumoto Rey had arrived late last night after a quick visit to an optics centre and a not so quick train ride from Kyuden Mirumoto to Toshi Ranbo. She feels soooo sleepy, but this is a fine chance to meet some of her new colleagues.
And there she is! The first one!
A second passes. She's still there.
Another second. Not even a move.
A third second. Could it be a stroke?
Be serious, Rey chan!... She urges herself. The coffee cup would have fallen from her hands.
The Dragon approaches and is about to speak when the room is stormed by two more colleagues of hers. And even better! The woman seems perfectly alive! She can even speak and throw cups of coffee... Alive and kicking!
"Hello, everyone!" Rey finally speaks.

Eito can't help but smirk at the effect he had on the woman. "Apologies if I ruined your coffee. I was about to make some if any of you want." he offers before he turns to the new woman, young. So very young but still she had an air of professionalism about her. "Morning. I hope your day has been pleasant as well. Apologies if I do not have your name."

Genji moves to assist in cleaning up the coffee from the ground, grabbing a few paper towels as he gets down on his hands and knees to assist in cleaning the spill -- so unlike a proper samurai!
As Eito and the Dragon woman come in he offers them both the best bow he can manage in his position, "Shibatsu-san, Dragon-san, I hope Inari has blessed you both today?"

The Dragon bows. Thrice. Even to strangely kneeling man. "Mirumoto Rey, attending general surgeon in Mirumoto Central. I was dispatched to Rokugan High yesterday. It is a pleasure to meet everyone. I will be covering the position of the former school... nurse for this year."

Umeko whispered a soft "Thank you." To the Unicorn as she helped him clean up after her mess. She was glad for the distraction of the new doctor, which gave her a convenient excuse to turn her attention away from either of the two men.
She bowed to the young girl. Had she said she was a surgeon? She barely looked a day over 18! Very impressive. The gardener smiled warmly "It's a pleasure to meet you, Mirumoto-san. I am Umeko-san, teacher of botany, gardening and herbal medicine. I hope we won't have to officially see each other too much this year."

"Ah a Surgeon? I hope we won't meet in a buisness capacity too much. Still I also am glad to know that we have such skilled hands to tend to us if we were to fall in." charming smile...flashed. He walks over to set up the coffee, whistling as he does.
