Eito nods. "It isn't. Quite the pickle. Shourido says I should go for her. Still, Shourido also says I should know myself and I am unfortunately soft hearted when it comes to these matters. If you ever need my help in your matter Genji-san, you need but ask. I may need your help in my own goal to restore the Spider Clan to her former glory. I don't know what will happen with all this but, It is a vain hope that no matter what we may one day end up friends."

The Unicorn shakes his head, "The more you tighten your grip, the more that will slip through your fingers. What she needs is space to breathe and to figure out her own feelings. This morning in the teacher's lounge with all three of us showed that." He smiles, "In the meantime, I'm going to continue being myself, being there for her when she wants me to be or needs me to be, and only giving her reminders of how I feel without trying to put her in a corner."
He extends his hand. "I don't know what will happen or why, but if the Spider continue to show their loyalty and dedication to the Empire, it may take a while but they will finally be accepted and possibly raised in status. Along with possibly Umeko-san's own goals."

"Shourido says many things but you are well versed in it. Control is not just for others, its for the self and Insight into the situation...agrees with you. I will offer what I can, if she wishes to see a marriage contract with me, then so be it. If not I will still offer aid to both of you."
He extends his own hand. "Thank you, that means a great deal to me. I hope your goals are found as well."

"I will speak as well from my perspective. I have a date with her later. I look forward to seeing what she says. Obviously if she absolutely hates me I wouldn't subject her to my presence in a marriage. It may surprise you but not everyone is fond of me." he says with a teasing almost flirty glint in his eye.
