Ah, the teachers' lounge. And for once, she wasn't in here to get lectured. Sweet!
Looking around at the empty room, Akane noticed the slight changes that had happened to the place in the past couple of decades; The vending machines were much more high tech, there was actually a three part recycling bin now, the television was a flat screen, and the windows had new blinds. Among other things.
Still, little of it mattered as much as the fact Akane had her lunch, and the chairs were the same old comfy things. She promptly floofed down into one of the ones in the corner after grabbing her stuff from the refrigerator.

As Akane flops down, a rather familiar couple enter the lounge, chatting absently as they carry their bento boxes. Aiko, for her part, is dressed in the suit she will wear in her next class, while Dairu is dressed in rather dusty coveralls. As they go to take a seat together at one of the tables, Aiko glances around the room and then notices the other occupant. She sets her bento down and goes over and greets Akane with a great big hug.
"Akane-chan! Hey!"
For his part, Dairu just takes his seat, giving Akane an apologetic look for his wife's enthusiastic actions.

Akane is still wearing her track suit from gym class, and she manages to set down her cooler before Aiko hugs her. Giving a smile Akane also gives a big hug back, standing up out of the chair she'd sunk down into.
"Why if it isn't Aiko-chan! And Dairu-san as well. Sorry I haven't contacted either of you since I got into town. Been super busy, been ages since I moved like this."

"It's alright. Aw. Wait. Hopefully that means the last package I sent got forwarded on here. I found this amazing Invindi place downtown that does these incredibly complicated curries and I asked them for a couple samples of their blended spices to send you to try," Aiko replies, clearly all excited to have Akane around again, "And I can't believe you are teaching here. I mean, I would have figured you'd have been tapped for other big projects. I mean, I'm sure that the Spider need all the help they can in rebuilding their image after the war."
Dairu clears his throat, smiling a bit, "Love, I think you need to actually let her get a word in edgewise to actually have a conversation."

Kumataro was eager to get some food in his stomach. Without any classes to teach until later, he had decided to fill the time with some training. Well, that and a bit of drinking, but not too much. He did not want to show up to class drunk, after all. Besides, he had the leftovers of a rack of ribs from Khan of the Plains in the fridge, and they were calling his name.
He blinked as he entered the teacher's lounge. There were only three people here? He had expected more, given that it was lunch. He also didn't recognize the other guy. Was he a teacher? Couldn't hurt to ask, he supposed.
"Hey, Ryudo-san, Mirumoto-san. How are we today?" he asked, bowing.
"I'm Hida Kumataro, by the way. Good to meet you" he said, turning his attention to Dairu.

Akane looked at Dairu and shook her head, "Nawwww... I'm a good listener, yah know? And sometimes that just means letting someone have their say. Especially when it's been a while. Now..."
She turns back to Aiko, "Well you know me; Love me some curry, though I can't say I got that package. As far as the Spider go... Well, what can I say? I don't think my Champion is going to trust me any time soon; Not even after all this time. To her, I am still an outsider and a betrayer."
Letting out a deep breath, she saw Kumataro enter, "Yo, Hida-sensei. Ready for some lunch?"

Dairu nods to Kumataro, "Greetings, Hida-san. This one is Mirumoto Dairu, ceramics teacher and the one who has the misfortune of being wed to Mirumoto Aiko." The last part is said with a grin tossed over his shoulder.
Aiko rolls her eyes at her husband's little joke, "Actually, he isn't serious. He is the one who proposed to me, and rather sweetly, too. Even though I did almost choke on the ring."
Dairu looks sheepish at that, "I'm sorry. I was told that the cake thing was something the restaurant had done a dozen times before. How was I to know the regular chef was going to be out sick that night and the guy covering thought the ring went in the cake instead of being a decoration?"

Post by Seppun Kojima on Jan 17, 2018 9:15:38 GMT -5
Seppun Kojima, the new Military Science teacher, took lunch in the teacher's lounge after finishing up his first class of the semester during Class 2. The Imperial was a clean dressed man, his button up and slacks ironed out to create a crisp appearance. He entered the lounge with a bento box in hand from the cafeteria. He entered the room, scanned the room with a sharp set of eyes, and smiled when he saw Kumataro. As for the other two, he offered Mirumoto Aiko and Ryudo Akane a bow. "Good afternoon," Kojima offered the three of them. "I don't think we've met yet - I'm the new Military Science teacher, Seppun Kojima. Whom do I have the pleasure of meeting today, ladies?"

Aiko and her husband each bow to the Seppun, and Aiko speaks, "Greetings, Seppun-sama. This one is Mirumoto Aiko, kenjutsu and investigation instructor and this is my husband, Mirumoto Dairu, ceramics instructor."

Kumataro laughed at Dairu's story.
"Hey, you got to marry a Thunder, I'd say a little accident with the cake is worth it, yeah?"
He headed to the fridge, getting out the leftovers of the ribs and throwing them in the microwave.
"And of course I'm ready for lunch, Ryudo-san, why do you think I ordered an extra rack of ribs yesterday?" he said, his tone playful.
He leaned against the counter, waiting for the ribs to heat up. He nodded to Kojima as he walked in.
"Hey, Kojima-san, how's it going?"
