The mute girl looked at Genji's lips. When he finished, Kiki typed. She showed it to the sensei.
She started to sign. We have a small animal sanctuary back at home...

Ryouko wasn't quite certain where the man was going. She frowned slightly as she listened, tsking to Daisuke when the horse began to slooooowly try to nudge his way toward Mizuki. She shot him a look, and the horse quickly returned to her side, looking like a child that got caught with a hand in the cookie jar.

Genji caught Daisuke heading toward Mizuki and smirked just a little. As he said, animals had personalities of their own as well. He shook his head much like an adult would at watching a young child with someone they really liked, but then turned his attention back to the class as a whole.
"Today's lesson is about working to improve those bonds you have with each other and to become familiar with your classmates and their companions. Today you're going to spend the rest of the class getting to know each other and your classmate's companions, because next class is going to be on verbal commands and I'm going to surprise you with which animal you're going to be working with so it would probably be a good idea to get familiar with as many as possible today."
Wait, did he just encourage students to use class time to socialize?

She looked at Fenne and nodded as she gave the little fox a hand signal to lie down.

Genji knelt down to rub Fenne for a good 'lie down' while looking up to Kiki. "We'll work something out. I'm not going to fail you in a class because you're not capable of talking, Isawa-san." He thought about it, then nodded slowly, "I'll send you an email tomorrow and we can work out a time to meet then."
He quickly stood and addressed that to the rest of the class. "That goes for all of you. As long as I'm not in the middle of delivering a foal or some other emergency, my classroom door is open for all of you. If you need additional help in this class or just need someone to talk to, don't hesitate to ask."

Seijuro turns, and looks to Utaku Hitomi . "You wanna start out first, Hitomi-san?" Seijuro asked the girl. "Would probably be the easiest since we kinda already know each other's horses."

She smiles at Akodo Seijuro. "I suppose so." Mizuki kinda whines wanting to go spend time with Daisuke. "I told you already Mizuki your being grounded for being naughty." She chuckles and pats Mizuki on the side. Turning her attention back towards Akodo Seijuro. "So then Akodo-San. Tell me a bit more about yourself?"

"Well, where to start? I moved in with my Grandfather around the time I turned 11. Up until that point I had been living with my Mother..."
Yeah, don't mention that part. "I wanted to start my training in Akodo lands, but my Grandfather believed I would be better suited with the Matsu. So he sent me off to Shiro Matsu. After gempukku, I moved to the city here. My Grandfather and I decided it was probably for the best if I get a broader education."
"I mean, there's more to it than that but those are the basics. What about you Hitomi-san?"

Ryouko glanced toward the third Utaku, before raising her hand. "Sensei, I believe Utaku Joo-Eun-san doesn't have a companion. Perhaps she could borrow one of your dogs for the sake of the exercice?"
