"Is your room above the top floor?" Yoshi asks Koshiro. "My room's on the top floor of the dorms... practically... I think? Well, the room I share with Akodo Ichiro-san. But maybe we're close." He shrugs.

Koshiro shakes his head. "Basement level. Gotta be close by if ever the heaters need a fixing."

"Ah, ok," Yoshi answers, nodding at Koshiro's answer. "I was pretty sure there was a maintenance floor up above the top floor... for access to the AC units I think... and maybe they put you up there." He felt that maybe Koshiro was uncomfortable being the center of attention, so Yoshi considers another conversational shift.
"So... have you all seen the fliers up about a party at the bushido sensei's mansion?" he asks everyone. "Are any of you planning on going?" In truth, Yoshi's roommate Akodo Ichiro had seen them and was practically insisting Yoshi attend. The young Dragon knew he'd feel better if some of these other First Years would be there too.

Nadeshiko sucked on her spoon for a few moments before leaving it in the last remains of her dessert.
"You'll have to enlighten me. Bushido-Sensei? I'm not sure I know who that is... regardless, it might be an interesting thing to go to... meet some people, see how they interact... try and find out just how different everything is here. Yes, I think I'll go. Do you know if it's formal? Will I need a dress?"

"Otomo Katsumi-sensei," Yoshi tells Nadeshiko. He looks around, saying, "Here, let me...." Standing, the young Dragon gets up from their table and darts quickly across the cafeteria to a distant bulleten board. The others can see more than one copy of the same flier up there, one of which Yoshi brings back to show them all."It doesn't say anything about being formal," Yoshi notes as he resumes his seat. Putting his logical mind to work, he adds, "I don't think a formal party would just be open to everyone on campus or allow you to bring your own food and drink." |

"Hmmm. I don't know. I don't really fit well in crowded places. Especially with the kind of look I have. But then again, it's free food..." Koshiro ponders as he finishes his cup noodles. "Do you think they'll let people take some food home?"

Nadeshiko looked at the flier and then copied the pertinent information down into the notebook she once again pulls from her bag, so she doesn't lose it.
"Otomo Katsumi... Otomo Katsumi... where have I heard... oh boy" she mutters, obviously remembering as she fishes a business card from her pocket. "That's the rather imperious looking lady I me.... who dropped this on the ground this morning. She had a pair of servants with her and everything. Koshiro-san I think she's rich enough that if you took a buffet table home she wouldn't notice."

Hinata froze up at the mention of Katsumi.
"Otomo Katsumi? I would be cautious going to any party she throws. She is a real piece of work. She harassed me at my job and then the next day hired my boyfriend to cook for her, only to try and seduce him to get information about me."
She shook her head.
"It may be uncouth to say this, but...she is a bad person."

"You... have a boyfriend?" Yoshi wonders aloud, sounding uncertain and a little disappointed. This tone might suggest that he had an interest in Hinata, but he was more concerned that his deduction about her being jealous over the Prince talking with Chiyo had been incorrect, which he'd taken some solace from having in common with her.
"Um... Akodo Ichiro-san is still probably going to make me go," he changes the subject, giving a bow to Hinata, in apology for more than just what he'd stated.
