"Oh god.. now you know.. dammit. Fortunes. Okay. If you keep my secret I owe you Bayushi-san.. which is weird considering what just happened."
Nadeshiko slipped into a sitting position as she spoke, hands moving to brush and roam over her outfit to make sure everything was in place before turning to face Nomen again "The uh... weighted feeling will wear off in about a minute. Not long enough in my opinion but well, at least something happened to you~"
She grins a bit before blinking and patting herself down a bit for a moment. Her expression falls suddenly as she frantically searches. "Oh boy.. uhh.. remember the trinket I pulled out.. I dropped it.. and I REALLY need to find it. That thing is a thousand years old and was a gift to my family from a really important person."

"You have the torch...it was Horiuchi-san, right?" Nomen checked she remembered the name from the class earlier "sorry, detective-san. I'm still a little weighted as you know, but I'll totally help you find it if you scan the floor with the torch. Be careful, some ghost broke the mirror and there's a lot of sharp pieces around" there was a grin as she slowly got to her feet, frowning "I'll have to keep your secret identity and your casting magic on another student, I assume?" she added as she moved slowly towards where they were, poking around with her shoe.

Nadeshiko hopped to her feet and grabbed another flashlight out of the bag she always carried with her. Nomen got the spare as she started to slowly sweep the flashlight along the floor, working her way in from the wall in an attempt to find the shiny trinket she'd dropped in its beam.
"Ugh, you're right. I just sorta panicked when I felt you on top of me and I realized you weren't a ghost. I guess I owe you double for that... so if you need something in the future just let me know okay?"
"And yes Bayushi-san. Horiuchi Nadeshiko, this is the second time you've scared me! You're pretty good at it. Just like you have a pretty nice chest" she added, grinning slightly at the thought of the soft bits she had squeezed earlier in the 'fight.'

"Bayushi Nomen, if you didn't catch it the first time" she offered in the greeting, starting to feel her movement coming back to her. She accepted the flashlight with a nod, turning it on and starting to check the floor the opposite way that Nadeshiko was going. Allowing them to cover double the space. "A favour, huh? I'll remember it, I can imagine having a talented detective to help out would be so worth it."
She took a few steps forward, scanning the floor as she spoke.
"I can be pretty quiet" she nodded with a smirk "and I do remember where your hands went. I'm glad they met the squeeze test with approval. They look as good as they feel, by the way" she added the last part with a chuckle as something caught her eye on the floor. Something sparkly. She scooped it up, looking at it to see if it was what they were looking for.

Nadeshiko flushed slightly at the offer to look as well as squeeze, what is it with the girls in this school and making her feel weird... The Horiuchi shook her head slightly before looking up to flash the light over the object, it was the right shape at least. Nade-chan slipped over, glass crunching under the soles of her shoes as she peered at the object and nodded.
"You found it! Good Job Nomen-san" she reached out to grab it from the scorpion girl, hoping to retrieve it without much effort "This was a gift to my Great x38 grandmother from Otaku Kamoko. It's supposed to be able to summon her spirit from Tengoku but I've never gotten it to work so I think it's a dud... but it's still extremely valuable" she murmurs, keeping her voice low as she brushed off any dust and tucked it back into a pocket.
"Now that uhh my investigation is over and there's no ghost... I think we should find a safe place to hide out. We weren't exactly... stealthy near the end there" This time she bent over, grabbing the hat and wig off the floor to stuff back into her bag... can't leave any evidence behind after all.

Nomen, perhaps surprisingly, released it without issue. "It's rather pretty, suits you too I think" she winked at the girl, before shining a light to the floor again.
"I'd say you weren't really stealthy at any point, but the smash and screamings gonna have someone here eventually. Think you can sneak out? How far's your room from here?" She moved quietly to the door, taking great care not to step on any glass she can avoid

"My rooms on the first floor, if we hang a right out of the bathroom and take the stairs at the end of the hall no one will see us. The teacher on night duty checked there just before I came up here and she won't be back for another 30 minutes."
As she speaks she walks delicately around the glass, trying not to step on the broken shards as she peeked around the corner of the bathroom door in the other way. "We'll have to be quiet though. Mayumi-senpai is asleep in my room but she's a sound sleeper." she murmurs, keeping her voice low as she grabs Nomen's hand and starts to drag the other girl down the hall towards the staircase.

Another little pushy cutie, how lovely Nomen grinned as she let the smaller girl pull her along, following as quietly as she could. Even her footsteps were softened - if it wasn't for the warm hand in the young Horiuchis hand she might forget Nomen was even there.
"Well planned. This isn't your first time" she commented very quietly, guiding Nadeshiko from behind towards a wall so they could move along the side "I would have used a window."

Nadeshiko paused at a corner and peeked around the side before continuing to drag Nomen down the hall towards the door at the end of the hallway. She whispers just loud enough for her partner in crime to hear as she does so.
"You would be surprised what it takes to get to be a good detective. Though I'm not usually actively hiding from the law so to speak and I'm not normally pulling someone behind me who could double for a cat. You'd probably make it out the window safely but I'm liable to break something important... like my leg."

Nomen smiled. "I think I'd be able to carry you." They got through the door to the stairs, and Nomen let go of the girls hand. Suddenly, she ran ahead, jumping down the gap in the staircase, grabbing the bars and using the momentium to throw herself onto the floor below, landing perfectly. It looked good!
