Were she able to, Ayumu would literally become the hotspring water herelf, but hiding herself below the water even more would have to work for now. "Uh, yes, yes I do. Well, I mean, It's nice. I don't focus on it, because it's not that great," her eyes widened suddenly, "Not that I don't think it's good at all, i just think it's simple! Not that it is simple, just that I can't do anything but simple!"
She shut her mouth and then quickly decided speaking was a bad idea.

"I am sure that you do yourself too little credit, samurai-sama. Sometimes the simple works are the most profound, and we must all begin somewhere"

Asurito is silently processing things. The girl just nods to everyone who speaks at the time. Sure poetry is a good thing. Not her thing, but good.
She shrugs and opens her mouth to talk. No sound comes out if it. The conversation continues and she still hasn't moved an inch or uttered any words. In the end, she arms herself with courage.
"Poetry is not simple. Everyone knows that." She finally speaks. "Or not. What do I know... I'm not a poet."

"Oh I rather think that you have hit the mark of it. Even the most simple piece is complex in its beauty" a winning and wicked smile as she locks eyes with the Miya "Are you sure that you need lessons, my dear flower"

Asurito remains frozen. The Kakita's eyes looking straight to hers don't help, at all. She doesn't know what to answer to this right now, so she chooses to go with the truth.
"I just wanted a hot bath. I haven't thought of any of this before." She replies, quite unsure what the conversation is about.

The truth of it is enough, she moves her gaze away from the Miya, and downcast, doing her best not to look ashamed at her behaviour

Ayumu eyes darted back and forth at the pair. She should honestly not even be listening in on the conversation, let alone staring, but after having been engaged by the kakita, it was hard not to. She was practically dragged into the conversation at that point. Maybe it would be a good idea to pretend like something else was more interesting. Wait, would that be considered rude? Would the Crane take insult? What about the Imperial? It was a double combo! Can't scorn them, not with how their standings were.
But what to say? "Umm... do you like poetry a lot, Kakita-san?" By the kami why did she ask that?!

"Poetry is an art I feel resonates with me. Emotion, even through on. A moment, captured in breath and shared with one and other"

"Oh, uh... That's kind of deep." Ayumu looked anywhere but the Kakita. That was a way better answer than what she had given. Maybe she needed to think more deeply on this kind of stuff.

"I have spent a long time considering it" she admits "It is an art, and I am an artist"
