Kobushi takes a moment, observes the gaijin and his movements. He decides an honest answer was called for, though he isn't entirely clear on why Ryuha is curious. "I would imagine it'll take time. It's hard having to un-learn what you've been taught all your life." He sips. "Why? Thinking of tutoring him, senpai?" "Akodo-san here asked me why I wouldn't go after kendo captain. The same reason is why I'd make even less of a tutor. I can hardly take care of myself as is." |

Rodrigo perked up at the mention of the kendo captainship.
"Ah, you needn't worry, I'll be kendo captain."
Rodrigo grinned, a cocky expression. He sounded absolutely certain of himself.

Yep, not addressing that, Ryuha thinks to herself, retreating behind the water bottle again for a few more sips until she can think straight again. And, it seems, Rodrigo's boast was enough to do just that.
