"Show me yours and I'll show you mine," he offers. A beat passes. "That sounded better in my head." The comment at least gets a snerk out of the Mirumoto, who covers her hand with her mouth. "That's the Crab humor coming through, right? Sure sounds that way."

He snickers along, but does a mostly better job of keeping it contained.
"I'd say so. But you know what I mean, right? If we ever meet outside the dojo, I'll show you a sample. Or would you prefer I make one for you?"

"I don't know if you have to go that far... maybe you could teach me though. Mom has been wanting me to pick up on some more skills outside of just swordsmanship."

"Well, whenever you have time." He smiles, so very earnest and eager. The boy really does just want to share his craft. "The school has all the equipment, and I've got basic materials to spare."

Ryuha takes a sip from her waterbottle to cool off her face a bit. For some reason, that one gaijin movie came to mind. The one with the ghost and the pottery and...
"Sure, just let me know. You have my number."

Kobushi is either thirsty in the literal sense or has seen that same movie. It's hard to tell, given that he suddenly feel the urge to take a sip from his own water. It is a rather famous scene.
Then again, this is Daidoji Kobushi. Good money is that he is just literally thirsty.
"Will do." He smiles.

Ryuha closes the top of the water bottle with a pop and forces her eyes to remain shut for the moment. Not that that really helped, cause her imagination was currently running as wild as a herd of boars. It made her shiver a little, for reasons unknown.
"So," she finally says, deciding to change the subject. "What do you think about Rodurigo-san? Think he can get handling a bokken down?"

Kobushi takes a moment, observes the gaijin and his movements. He decides an honest answer was called for, though he isn't entirely clear on why Ryuha is curious.
"I would imagine it'll take time. It's hard having to un-learn what you've been taught all your life." He sips. "Why? Thinking of tutoring him, senpai?"

"you're right of course training is incredibly useful but having natural talent gives you a great place to start." Ichiro nodded and reset. "Now try to defend against this assault." He waited until the gaijin boy settled into a passable stance, something to work on, Ichiro darts in and feints a strike at Rodrigo's face and then sweeps at his legs attempting to knock the boys feet out knowing the padded training floor wouldn't be much of a fall. Jiujutsu 41 ( orokos.com/roll/590319 ) Rodrigo tried to defend against the attack, but he couldn't. He fell, both for the feint and on the floor. He looked up at Ichiro and raised a brow. "Well, that was a clever move." ((I didn't even roll, since Rodrigo literally can't beat that, lol. ))

((Lol fair enough))
Ichiro reaches down offering the foreign boy a hand up. "Hand to hand isn't like kendo or dueling your opponent isn't fighting with one weapon you have to watch they fight with five things you have to always be aware of."
