Having finished with the last of her food, Momiko had started packing some more stuff up and taking out dessert, "Our ages? Pretty close actually. She was born when I was two. You have to realize though that we had different fathers... so I guess that technically makes her my half-sister."

"Oh," Yoshi says, mentally conceding his inexperience in the matter. "I figured you'd be more used to having... at least one person who's like a friend to you... if you two were close in age." He assists Momiko in packing up, as much as he can, while not touching on the subject of different fathers, having decided to keep pivoting away from parents.
"Wow... dessert too!" Yoshi says aloud in surprise and gratitude for the bounty the Asahina had brought.

Momiko chuckled, "Well, like I said, I had no hand in making this. So no need to thank me for that part. As far as my half-sister... I mean, we are friends I guess. But it's a little different knowing someone since you've been able to remember and just meeting someone for the first time. You don't get used to introductions or such; I mean, she IS a friend, but she's also family? I just feels different. ...that and she's a brat sometimes~"
Her smile is accompanied by a small sigh and a shake of her head as she passes one of the two pieces of cake to Yoshi, a thick white crumb and a thin layer of matcha frosting on a small paper plate.

"Rich kids, huh?" Yoshi teased in response to her calling her sister a brat, actually feeling comfortable enough to crack a small joke. He winks and nods too, making absolutely sure she realizes he's not being serious, as well as the fact he understands her explanation. After that, he just silently enjoys the simple pleasure of eating cake with her until it's all gone.
"Please, let me carry the basket and your poncho back," he offers after they're done, reaching out for the items.

Momiko nods as she closes it up, handing it over to him without a second thought. Or a thank you. That WAS a rich kids thing.
The sun had been behind the clouds the past few minutes, but Momiko shielded her eyes as it came back out, "Hm; Rainbow, over the lake from the look of things."

"Hrm, I can't...," Yoshi says, turning in the direction of the lake but straining to view the phenomenon. "Do you want to see if we can get closer to find a better vantage point on the rainbow before we head back?" He is certainly in no hurry to leave Momiko's company.
"Whenever we do though, are you just going back to the dorms, or are you getting picked up again?" he wonders.

"Yeah, let's."
Walking back along the path, Momiko looked back at Yoshi, "As to your other question, neither. I was thinking about just hanging around a bit; Have someplace to be in a few hours."

"Oh, well...," Yoshi replies, frowning down at the basket with the poncho on top. As he follows her down the path, he continues, "I'm going to go clothes shopping in town after this, but I'm stopping by my dorm in between. I could take the basket back there with me, then return it to you tomorrow night, so you don't have to lug it around wherever you're headed next."

Her eyes widen a little, "You... would do that? That's incredibly generous, Yoshi-san. I almost feel like I... can't accept."

"Thank you for saying all that, but I'm happy to do it," he tells her, smiling at her wide-eyed expression.
