Doji HoshikoThe rooftops were still wet from the previous day's precipitation as the Jade Sun attempted to peek through an occasional cloud to break the chill of the morning air. When Hoshiko got to the roof that morning she'd be greeted by something far different than the previous two days. First came the sound of an acoustic guitar ringing out instead of an electric. The second would explain why it wasn't very faint: Mirumoto Noboru sat on the ledge to the girls' dorm, guitar in hand, a microphone set up with his amplifiers and electric guitar, all of which sat on a tarp to keep from getting wet,. His eyes were kept down as he focused on his playing, strumming out each note with as much emotion as he can muster.

Then suddenly... "So close, no matter how far. Couldn't be much more from the heart" Singing, from the girls dorm, followed by a bass playing as Hoshiko, who had to rush around, came up. She had her smaller amp at her side, kept on by a belt, and she'd grabbed the mic that sat on her head rather than one on a stand. "Forever trusting who we are. And nothing else matters" she looked in Noboru's direction, smiling, letting him do the next part.

He really wasn't much of a singer, some of it had to do with his awkwardness and some of it was probably because he'd never had a singing lesson in his life. Either way he smiled up to the girl, nodding her closer as he accompanied her.
"Never opened myself this way," he began as the thought back to the previous night and the time they'd spent together. Good and bad but mostly good.
"Life is ours, we live it our way. All these words I don't just say." He stood as she got close, finishing off the verse with, "And nothing else matters."

He's on the girls dorm?!
"Trust I seek! and I find in you~" she walked to him, standing directly in front of him.
"Every day for us something new" a smile growing, with a slight blush.
"Open mind for a different view" she sat down next to him as she finished her part of the verse; "And nothing else matters."

Noboru just smiled at Hoshiko. It was one of those demure, proper smiles that you'd give someone when you're not sure whether you're falling for them or just want to be good friends but showed promise of both. Then her blush came and he offered one of his own, looking away to protect both of their On before glancing back at her with the faintest of smiles.
"Never cared for what they do," he responded to her, completely unaware of the news that had broken that morning or how this would look to anyone who did see the garbage rag implying the two of them had done anything improper. "Never cared for what they know. But I know."

"But I know" she joined in the last part, playing her part again as she stood and continued to her verse.
"So close, no matter how far~" she turned back to Noboru, pointing at him a moment as she continued "Couldn't be much more from the heart~" with a blush, playing again.
"Forever trusting who we are" she stepped to him, finishing; "And nothing else matters"

Noboru would blush as she pointed at him then offered her own blush in return. That didn't deter him from stepping a little closer to her, though, only enough room between them that it wouldn't interfere with playing their instruments.
"Never cared for what they do," he reiterated the chorus, glancing down toward the courtyard below them. Surely some students had begun gathering for the pair's morning concert, mostly nameless (but certainly not faceless) in the grand scheme of things. That doesn't mean he didn't at least look for some that he didn't recognize in the process. As for what they may have thought of the pair in light of the news, he echoed his sentiment with the next line: "Never cared for what they know. But I know.

Her eyes sparkled as she sung, looking into Noboru's eyes as she sung again.
"I never opened myself this way" she lowered her voice, making the lyrics feel more personal "Life is ours, we live it our way~" a smile on her face "All these words I don't just say! And Nothing else matters."

The sparkle was met with a blush, tet something about the song and the two of them playing seemed to draw them together. It didn't hurt that the artist who penned it wrote it for his girlfriend while on tour and hadn't intended it to be part of the album.
Either way, the Mirumoto thought back to their shared moment at the hotel, a moment that could have ended a friendship - or even more - depending on how she responded, so the lyrics were definitely from the heart as he lowered his voice in kind: "♪ Trust I seek and I find in you. Every day for us something new. Open mind for a different view ♪"
The Dragon leaned in, closing the verse with, "♪ And nothing else matters ♪" followed by a kiss to Hoshiko's cheek.

She blushed a very bright red at the kiss, stammering slightly at the start. "N-Never cared for what they say~, Never cared for games they play!"
She took a calming breath, smiling more again. "Never cared for what they do~! Never cared for what they know!"
"And I know, yeah!" she pushed up on her toes to return the kiss onto his cheek, before looking up at his eyes again.
