After the party at the Otomo's, Kobushi found himself walking back to the dorms. Or rather, that was the plan. He'd eventually realized he found himself in the middle of the shopping district. If he had to guess, he'd gotten lost in the same spot as when he'd run into the Prince earlier in the day. Hard to tell with the lack of lights and other visual indications, but it felt familiar enough. Now all he needed to do was figure out how to get out of there and find his way back to the dorms before morning. And then he hears something from behind him --- like wood tapping against stone. Ichiro was wandering around the shopping district looking for a place to decompress from the days events just needing to clear his head. From the encounter with Uetani this afternoon and everything that happened at the party it had been a crazy day.
Ichiro hears a strange sound and heads toward it just to round a corner and see Kobushi there. "Hey Kobushi-san, what are you doing here so late?"

He turns his head in the Lion's direction.
"I think I took a wrong turn somewhere. How about you?"

Ichiro walks up to the other boy "I was just walking to clear my head. It's been a.....strange day. Any idea what that noise is? I didn't see anyone making it."

He looks alarmed all of a sudden. "I thought it was you."
And there the sound goes again. A little closer this time.
"Definitely not you, then."

Ichiro looked around due to the late hour their were relatively few people out and about and most shops were closed. Someone making a noise like that should be pretty easy to find but there was no one in sight.
"Super weird, let's investigate."

Kobushi nods.
The sounds continue. The direction it's coming from seems to be behind them.
"Any guesses what it is?"

Ichiro is looking down each alley way as they walk heading toward the noise now. "I have no idea, sounds like wood or something but I can't tell."

The tapping continues. He turns to look behind them, just in case this is someone playing an elaborate prank, but sees nothing. Then something knocks over a rubbish bin just as he turns away.
"Think we should be ready in case it's dangerous? Whatever it is."
