Kakita UetaniIt wasn't long after their daily recital that Noboru had heard about the article in Ningen Daily Magizine. Truthfully, he had expected it the moment he and Hoshiko were caught coming out of the club together by paparazzi. That didn't make the normally awkward and antisocial Mirumoto feel any better about the entire situation, however, and who knew how long it would be before word got out about the two of them. For now? The Dragon sat in seiza in the middle of an otherwise empty dojo, dressed in his practice uniform with shinai at his side and daisho in front of him. He breathed in slowly, trying to find his center as he sought to push out all distractions. As he sought to push out an anger building within him with little luck.

Uetani enters the dojo. The sword is her life, her future, and her constant focus after all. As she walks in, she gives the Dragon a bow, thinking that he looks a little familiar, but not wanting to interrupt him.
She says her blessings to the ancestors that watch over the dojo, and she begins to practice her strikes, from the hip, Crane iai, hardly flawless, but executed with grace.
She tries to control her breathing as she strikes, as she focuses. A breath, strike. A breath, strike. In her amusement, in the quiet of the dojo, she hears it fall in time with the dragon's.
A breath, strike, a breath strike. She carries on like that a while. No two strikes are exactly the same, but none of them are completely different either. One perfect cut. That should be all it takes...

Nadeshiko was following Noburo this morning, in disguise once more since she was on the job. Her blonde wig had been done up into a single braid that cascaded down her back as she slipped into the dojo a few minutes after Uetani. She was content to simply watch for now, leaning against the wall next to the door, one leg coming up to rest against the wall as she scribbled quietly in her notebook. As Uetani practices however Nadeshiko takes a keener look, lifting her pen up with one thumb laid along it to line up vertically against the girls body as she works out. Every few moments she reaches down to scribble in her notebook before resuming. Sometimes she holds her sideways or diagonally, continuing until she's either noticed or the girl finishes sparring.

"I can h-hear you, you know," came the Mirumoto's reply as he looked up and over to the student who was unfamiliar to him. While the comment was a bit rude in tone it was also a bit awkward. Clearly the Dragon didn't have much in the way of social graces.
His eye studied Uetani a moment or two, looking as though they were attempting to burn holes through the Kakita. He knew those stances far too well, had faced them enough times that he could recognize one trained in the Kakita school. Either way, Noboru stood, his breathing still matching that 'breath, strike, breath' pattern she'd been emulating. Noboru bowed, but it wasn't very deep.
"I don't think I've seen you around before, Crane-san."
As Nadashiko entered his brown eyes flit her way then back to Uetani, finding the stranger unimportant for now since she likely didn't bear any markings identifying her clan.

She notes the depth of the bow, she is too well trained not to. She can chose to be insulted though, and fight for pride, or she can talk, and find out why
"Kakita Uetani" her voice is level, there is a friendly tilt to it, but not too much. When she bows, she bows deeper than he did, but only to the amount one would have to, to be polite "A recent transfer from Tsuma."
She bows to the other samurai as well, not having the first clue who this one is.

Ahh the bow, another one of those stuffy customs that Nadeshiko had never really paid more than lip service too. Still as Uetani notices her she offers the Crane a half-bow in return, at least paying respect to the girl as she pulls off the wall to join the pair in the conversation.
"Good morning. I hope I'm not interrupting anything? I was simply enjoy watching Kakita-san practicing and making note of her movements."

"Mirumoto Noboru," came the Dragon's response to Uetani. His tone somehow awkward and cold at the same time. "This is my third year here since completing my training at Shiro Mirumoto."
He then bowed to Nadeshiko, deeper than he did Uetani. "Then far be it from me to prevent you from observing Kakita-san's techniques." With that Noboru picked up his daisho and began affixing it to his left hip, then picked up the shinai that had set by his side.

"Well met Mirumoto-sama" she offers him the respect. He has been here longer than she has after all. She goes back to her forms, going slower, as she had an audience, who might, after all wish to learn something

"Mirumoto-Senpai, you do not need to leave so soon. In fact I was actually looking for you." Nadeshiko murmurs, stepping to the side slightly to allow Uetani to practice without getting in the way.
"Although being able to watch a practiced duelist like Kakita-san is also an extra bonus. Maybe I'll be able to convince you two to spar later."

"I don't think that's a good idea..." A pause as he looked to Nadeshiko, the Mirumoto offering a sigh that was somewhere between annoyance and sorrow. "I'm sorry, what did you say your name was, again? And why would you be looking for me?"
His eyes flit back to Uetain as she practiced, less interested in learning something and more interested in the Kakita's form. Where her strengths were as well as her flaws before turning back to the Unicorn student expectantly.
