As there are already people in the hot springs area, Joo-Eun finds a quieter spot away from the rest to soak, easing herself into the warm water, using her towel as a pillow. The poor Utaku has a lot on her mind and had no chance yet to deal with some of the weighty issues on her mind. So, here she is, trying to relax.

Mako had already gotten out of the bath, but was still hanging out in the hot spring area, specifically nestling up along the sides of the walls, where warm rocks were heated by the same mixture of water and fire kami - geothermal energy - that the water was. It felt amazing on her back, the cool night air on every other part of her body, and then a hot rock, relieving the tensions naturally as she pressed against it.
She was about to get up and leave, when she saw a certain girl get into bath, and go sit alone. A certain unicorn she had a crush on. A certain utaku... okay, that didn't narrow it too well, but it was Joo-Eun! Her best friend! So she slooowly stood up, and snuck her way towards her best friend, and then bent waaay down over her, to look at the girl's face. In the process giving her a squishy breast hat, "Euuuuniiieee~!"

Joo-Eun turns beet red as she feels Mako press against her, squirming a bit uncomfortably for a second. She manages a smile as she looks up at the smaller Otomo, looking...nervous for some reason.
"Hey, Mako-chan. Um...how are you? And...do you have a little bit of time to talk?"

Mako giggles at the blush - She loved teasing her friend, buuut other people would totally start looking if she kept leaning like that, so instead she quickly dropped herself into the bath, "I'm doing better since you're here~ it's hard to be sad with my Eunnie~!" She wrapped her arm with Joo-Eun's, locking elbows, no room between them.
"I have all the time in the world, as long as you don't mind either walking me home or letting me sleep in your dorm room, if it gets too late~!" She giggled it out, as she leaned a head on her friend.

Joo-Eun looks at Mako for a few moments, then nods a little, blushing all the more for some reason. She takes a deep breath, steeling herself.
"You remember that shopping trip yesterday? I...mean, yeah. You probably do. Well. Anyway. I...kinda had a realization during it and I wound up talking to Priya earlier today to try and sort things out but..."
Joo-Eun pauses, trying to find the words she's looking for and failing. So, she decides to fix the issue of words by using actions instead. In this case, she leans in and kisses Mako, full on the lips. The Utaku is clumsy, as this is one of her first kisses ever, but...hey. It probably gets the message across pretty damn clearly.

Shopping, yes, fun times, the good time of yesterday, before every thing exploded into drama and feelings. Mako was looking up at Joo-Eun oh so curiously... And then there was a connection between them, one that Mako had always teased about but hadn't forced on her friend. And now it was given. And she froze, lips pressed together, holding Joo-Eun close to her.
Her eyes were wide open and she was staring at her friend and every thing was... she was so warm, and now Mako was the one blushing, a bright, bright pink, the color of her hair, the sakura like color. It took a long time before she pulled away, and she was stuttering, shy, and unlike her usual confident self, "Eunnie... y-you...?" She whispered it quietly.

Joo-Eun nods a little, her voice quiet, "Yeah. I have feelings for you that mean I want you around as more than just a friend. I care about you, deeply, and after that trip...I...kinda realized I liked it when you called me your girlfriend. That I liked feeling pretty in your eyes. That...you meant more than just a friend to me. It may sound silly, but...yeah. And I got jealous of Priya, but then I talked to her and she's a good fit for you, Mako-chan, because she's got a good head on her shoulders and is just...a real pillar. And I realized I had another friend now too."

Priya and her talked? About this? And her? And feelings? And... oh my goodness. Mako was so full of so many emotions she might burst, as she listened to the Utaku ramble, before practically tackling the stronger girl into the warm water, arms wrapped around her friend in an embrace that was happy, not lustful despite their dress - or lack of it - " Eunnie! Of course you are my girlfriend, and beautiful, and wonderful and..." she was blushing so deeply, "I-I... I mean..." she was glad Joo-Eun couldn't see her face in the embrace "I never... expected...? I'm sorry... if I ever hurt you, by flirting or... making it seem like a joke. I should have seen..."

Joo-Eun just rubs Mako's back gently, holding the girl close. She seems happy to hear the words, smiling faintly. She nuzzles the Otomo a little.
"You didn't hurt me at all, Mako-chan. You were just being you, the silly, cheerful, wonderful, open and flirty girl that slowly won me over. I...admit I'm still figuring this all out, because I know I need to find a guy eventually and I don't want to step on any toes, especially not with Priya, because I don't want to hurt her any more than I want to hurt you, but I do know my life is better with you around."

She hesitated, but eventually, "Did Priya say it would hurt her...?" She bit her lip, and looked at Joo-Eun's eyes, as she did, "I... would like to be able to still call you my girlfriend... but... seriously." She smiled to the unicorn, the instant before giving her a little peck to her lips, "You're my Eunnie. My precious, precious friend, and... if you want to be more..." she laced fingers with the other girl, as she gave another little kiss, "I can't say we will be together forever. Or that you will be the only one in my heart. But... You already have a place. I already love you as a friend. It wouldn't be hard to have that be more..." A third tiny kiss on her lips, "Slowly. So you can discover how you feel. And what you are comfortable with. I won't rush you."
