"Either one works, but I'm better at striking than on my ground game," he admits. He glances briefly at the Otomo, but returns to focus on Ichiro. "But if Otomo-sensei needs a guide, it wouldn't be nice to keep her waiting."

"Same here I suppose, I'll probably be focusing on my striking game as well." He looks at katsumi "I thought she enjoyed watching, figured we'd give her a show first before showing her on her way."

She taps her fingers against her lips in quite thought. I could go for a bit of a show before I set up. Besides maybe I can convince them to join. "Well I don't mind watching a demonstration. If you boys don't mind."

Ichiro gives a wide genuine smile "sounds great to me man" he strips his shirt off and puts his MMA style gloves. And gives them a pound "lets get to it then."

Kobushi nods, grabbing his own gear. It wouldn't really be smart for him to spar with the Akodo the way he was dressed at that point. He was only starting to realize how strangely the Otomo looked at him. He wasn't sure if he could win, but he always looked forward to see just how good he was compared to others. Ichiro was never one to let the fight come to him, they tapped gloves and ichiro bounced on the balls of his feet keeping himself light. the two fighters traded jabs for a bit, feeling out the other Ichiro threw in a few kicks to keep the daidoji on his toes. Then the lion flashes in and launches a jab to kobushi's face but almost immediately then a fist comes down low and makes solid contact with his ribs. ((/OOC Initiative: 29; Attack: 26; TN20; attack stance. Nah I'd say that this is a friendly enough spar that they are delivering solid blows but nothing that damages.)) |

Kobushi had seen fighters that fast before. Not often, though. He decides to rely more on pressure and forward momentum to get through the Lion's defenses. Kobushi knew he wasn't matching him on speed. He winces a little on contact with the ribs, and it puts the faintest hin of a smile on his face. A moment later, he uses a chance to land a blow of his own on the Akodo's shoulder. ((OOC: Attack: 35; still in Attack Stance, TN15)) |

The crane was good there was no doubt about that he smirked as Kobushi landed a blow on his shoulder they separated for a second and Ichiro rolled his shoulders a couple of times. this was fun, meeting a challenging opponent always brought the best out in the akodo. he ducked and weaved around a couple more of the other boy's blows before cathcing him square in the chest with a straight punch. Kobushi is smiling. He liked the challenge. The contact on his chest was sharp, and it filled him with a rush of adrenaline. There was always a good feeling fighting someone that was closer to his skill. He releases a quick flurry, testing the defenses a little more. Getting a feel for the reaction time and defenses. Then, all of a sudden, he connects with a right cross. ((Attack 32; stance and TN unchanged)) |
