beads of sweat had started forming on Ichiro's brow as he was fighting, yeah this kid was good give him a couple years he'd be as good as I am. But today the experience won out over the younger boy. Ichiro left a spot open on his flank and waited for his opponent to strike for it anticipating the attack ichiro dropped and rolled away from it extending his fist as he came out of the roll and making contact with kobushi's stomach. match point. Ichiro smiled as he stood and bowed to his opponent. "You certainly are skilled Daidoji-san." ((attack: 40, final score 3-2)) |

Ichiro nodded "you do, but you aren't far behind. certainly more advanced than I was at your age thats for sure. anything is achievable if you just reach for it." he winked and gave the kid a thumbs up with a confident smile.
he then turned to Katsuki "and how do you think we did Otomo-sensei?"

He nods in thanks, and then awaits the Otomo's opinion. He almost forgot that the Imperial that was a danger Kuni Hinata and perhaps all of her friends was present. He hoped that the Akodo didn't somehow become a target himself.

"Honestly though I really feel as though Daidooji-San held himself back on account of the fact that you are injured Akodo-San." She turns to look at the Akodo. Ichiro looks over at Kobushi, confused. No...he wouldn't...would he? Kobushi seemed like a cool dude but if he...if He *let* Ichiro win? Well now that would just piss him off. He was a warrior, a proud Akodo, to be handed a victory was a grave insult. Thunderclouds appear on Ichiro's face as he gets lost further in the maze of his own thoughts. His voice is quiet almost unassuming but the sign here is the calm. Ichiro almost never speaks calmly. But this is almost cold. "Is it true Kobushi-san?" Kobushi frowns at the assertion. The Hida Pragmatists don't hold back – against creatures of the Shadowlands. Against a more honorable opponent, it was often less than ideal. The injury had nothing to do with it, he likes to think. He just didn't target it because the Akodo had easier openings. "I didn't use my school techniques because you're not a creature of the Shadowlands," he says. Given that he had no trouble using those same techniques on Ryuha before, it sounds hollow.
