"Takano? No, I did not even tell her someone was coming over, so...""So she is quite cross with her mother," finished a separate voice. The girl who entered was obviously the one Yoshi had seen in the car, the short black hair and large glasses (and chest) unmistakable. "I mean, of COURSE I want to meet the poor young man ensnared by Nee-san."Mei did NOT look please and down her fork, but said nothing as Takano walked over next to Yoshi and Momiko.

"I'm... Tamori Yoshi," Yoshi introduces himself to Takano, rising to his feet to give her a full bow while trying not to stare at her physical trait that the three women shared.
"It's an honor to meet you, Asahina-sama," he tells her before resuming his seat. Her words and tone hadn't made the best first impression, but it was still far better than her mother's, so Yoshi remains hopeful that Momiko's sister's personality won't be quite as acidic.

"No need for the sama, please; I am younger than you, Tamori-san. If anything, it should be the other way around. I would ask to sit next to you, but I think it would probably be more proper for me to sit next to Nee-san."
Mei decided to speak up at this point, "Takano-chan, we were having a private discussion here. I would really rather you ate in the dining room like normal."
Takano sat down next to Momiko as Mei talked, on the side closer to Mei, legs crossed, "Are you sure I can't stay, please? I know you don't want Nee-chan getting attached to anyone, but I think it's good for her. She WILL need to have more experience with interpersonal communication if she's going to be CFO of the company, neh?"
Mei grumbled, "~I~ never needed such things... but very well. If you think it will help you in the future, I suppose you may stay."
Takano smiled warmly.

Yoshi looked between them all, wondering how private the previous conversation had really been. Did Takano not know about her sister what her mother had just told a complete stranger? It wasn't his place to say or ask, only to continue to endure this surreal situation. He was determined not to abandon Momiko to it any sooner than absolutely necessary, and as inevitable as it was, he knew it would break his heart to do it.
"Why... doesn't Asahina-sama want you to get attached to anyone?" Yoshi asks Momiko directly, refusing to let her be ignored.

Momiko turned to face Yoshi directly, "Because I'm part of Takano-sama's business, and so there's probably an arranged marriage sometime in the future, along with many other things that have already been decided for me. Having those outside things would just be painful for me to leave. Or at least that's what she said."
Mei looked away, chewing on her salad even as she held her nose up in the air. This caused Takano to giggle.

"Maybe... there could be some you wouldn't have to leave," Yoshi ventures, though he'd be the first to admit that he knows nothing of the intricacies of her mother's and sister's business ventures. He doesn't bother to look for assent or dissent from the woman who he was beginning to expect couldn't look back anyway. He does spare a glance at Tanako for her reaction to his words, though the vasy majoirty of his concentration remains on Momiko.

Momiko looks over at Mei, who is busy looking at... well, in the direction of a piece of art on the wall. It's Takano that speaks up.
"I mean, don't mind. Personally, I simply don't want to let Mother or my Clan down. So I try to listen to her advice. You must understand that her relationship with my father..."
Mei cleared her voice at that, "That subject is forbidden, even to you, daughter."
Takano turned to Mei, who's deep frown and trembling hand spoke a little to the ice in her voice. She nodded her head, "Yes, of course. Regardless, there are certain reasons that the subject of connections and such are concerned."

"The salad was very good, Asahina-sama and Asahina-san," Yoshi says to Mei and Takano, completely adrift in the ocean of family drama churning around him. "I'm looking forward to trying the soup, Momiko-san." He looks across the table to the one person who'd barely spoken, not sure if she was his life-preserver or if he was hers.

Momiko, feeling a little bit less formal with Takano arguing with their mother, actually started on her salad now, "I know our chef makes a great onion soup. I think you'll like it."
The argument hadn't lasted long, and Takano was leaning with one elbow on the table watching Yoshi and Momiko, "So, I only walked in on part of this; What else haven't you told him Nee-chan? Did you tell him about your enhancements? Or your hobbies? Ooo, or your little job?"
Her voice was teasing, and Yoshi could see Momiko practically roll her eyes; She might have if he hadn't been there, "You can be such a brat sometimes, Takano-chan."
The black haired girl smiled warmly, "I just don't think you should hide yourself from someone you're putting through so much. Regardless of obligations or appearances. I mean, that's what YOU would want, right Tamori-sama?"
Takano looked at Yoshi as she said this.

"I would want Momiko-san to make her own decisions," Yoshi replies, politely but firmly. Speaking too of "firmly", he wondered if by "enhancements", Tanako was referring to Momiko's impressive chest. Had they forced Momiko to augment hers to fit in? Had they all gotten augmentation? He was starting to feel very warm considering possibilities.
"You aren't putting me through anything," he reassures Momiko as well, contrary to her sister's words.
