Just having finished his morning exercises, eaten breakfast, and gotten himself cleaned up for a day of classes, Akodo Seijuro makes his way out of the dormitory and towards the main campus building. The quad is full of students this time of day, ones far less punctual than the Lion was - going off to just now do the same things he had done hours ago. His golden eyes glance up to the sky and the light rain coming down -he stares at the crappy weather for a few moments before he opens his umbrella and sets off.
He gets a few feet out, dodging around a few puddles and running students, until he notices one of his shoes are untied. So he goes over to one of the benches and hikes his foot up on it, trying to balance the umbrella on his shoulder while he ties his shoe - failing to succeed.

Ever the orderly woman, Tsuki had already done all her morning tasks prior to school start. She had just finished texting with Isao and their lunch plans were set, and the email from the principal had just informed her that she would be the President this year. It was a tad hard to hide the pride she felt in this and found her every step held a bit more purpose in it, for better or worse. It would likely fade away in time, but for now she was rather pleased and planned on using that feeling to push her forward for the day.
Although the weather seemed to disagree with any happiness. Gloomy clouds and rain certainly did not scream happiness and fun. Not that even mother nature herself could drown her out, Tsuki was prepared all the same as she popped her umbrella open and made her way across the path. All in time to see Seijuro struggling to tie his shoe while keeping the umbrella up. With a step over to her friend, She stood next to him with her umbrella covering them both. "Good morning, Seijuro-san."

As the Akodo's umbrella hits the walkway, the Lion feels rainfall only for a few moments. His hair isn't even really dampened before Tsuki arrives, sheltering him from the rain and keeping his uniform mostly dry. When he hears the Crane's voice, Seijuro finishes the knot on his shoes, and stands up to face the young woman. He offers her a bow, in both greeting and gratitude, a small smile on his face as he rises.
"Good morning, Tsuki-san. Though I suppose I should be calling you Tsuki-taicho now. Congratulations on your appointment." He's... a bit to caught up in the greeting right now to notice his umbrella is sitting on the pavement.

Tsuki smiled at the comment, but was quick to shake her head at the man after she returned the bow. "Please, don't, heavens knows no one else will and I much prefer it that way." Her answer came as she glanced down and, with as much care as she could to not get the skirt of her school uniform wet, knelt down to pluck up her friends umbrella off the wet pathway.
"Were you heading over to your morning classes by any chance, Seijuro-san?" The young lady asked as she held out Seijuro's umbrella to him, "If so, would you like to walk together?"

"Ah, arigatou," the Akodo thanks her again, accepting the umbrella and moving it over himself to give the Kakita some comfortable distance.
"Tsuki-san it is then." He gives her a nod, adjusting his book bag over his shoulder. "Yeah I am; won't be doing any riding in this weather. Not on a school day at least. I'd have to clean up all the mud from both me and Bunsho. I see no reason why we can't walk together." He motions for her to begin with his arm.
"How was your club day? What did you end up joining?"

Tsuki smiled and made to continue on towards the class rooms, keeping in pace with her new walking partner. "It was very busy," She started, "But it helped make things run smoothly, so I'm glad for that. I was able to join the Gardening club and Taryu-jiai this year, and well, we both have the student council." She said the last part with a laugh.
"How about you? I hope it was fun and stress free," She asked as she glanced over to him.

"Taryu-jiai? Did you all end up dueling? I've never gotten to see one of the matches before, but I hear they are entertaining," Seijuro says, tapping his umbrella against his shoulder. "A reminder that the kami are a great source of power, even in avatar form."
He looks to side his side back at her when she glances over. "Fun, I suppose. I enjoyed my bouts in the dojo for kendo. They were... enlightening to say the least. As for stress free? Well, it was a very busy day for many reasons."

Tsuki nodded, "Mhm, for those that desired, we did. And yes, it was very entertaining to see what forms the kami took from those who participated. A kuni's kami took the form of a large raven, and a Ronin took up the form of a ship," Tsuki exposited.
"I'm glad to here you at least enjoyed it, but what made it so busy, if you don't mind my asking?"

"Did you? I'm curious what kind of avatar you would choose for a duel," Seijuro admitted with a small smile, stepping over another puddle with a small hop - careful not to splash any water.
"Well, I went riding yesterday morning which was fun. It was nice to get my mind off of things.... from, well the day before." He paused and stopped walking, stuffing his free hand into the pocket of his pants. "I also ran into Mirumoto Aiko-sama the other day in the dojo. She... caught me at a vulnerable moment. I was thinking about my parents."

"A moth, like those white ones," Tsuki answered, "Although I tried to be a bit clever about it." She smiled at the thought of perhaps doing something different next time.
Her own steps stop as his did, out of sync but aware of his sudden lack of presence beside her. She turned to face him, a small distance apart, but enough. She stared at him as the rain continued to fall, features soft and understanding. What to say on a sensitive subject that didn't patronize or evoke pity. He had never been one to speak on it openly with her before and she had always been courteous enough to not push him. Today, it seemed that had changed.
"What happened? Why were you thinking about your parents?" she gently inquired.
