Hinata finally took a deep breath. She had used the time not just to dwell on her emotions, but to formulate a plan. She was a Kuni; as civil as she may be she was always thinking of ways to fight monsters. She took her hands off her face and wiped away the tears, her jaw set and fire in her eyes. With her stature and posture at that moment, it was not hard to imagine this teenage girl as the Empress one day. She was not going to give up on that dream without a fight. "Yes. I have a plan to beat her." Yoshi's narrator could practically hear the musical sting after Hinata uttered those words. For his part, Yoshi himself only replied, "Oh...?" |

Hoo boy. Scary Hinata mode activated. Koshiro returns to the relative comfort of his cup noodles as he waits to hear what Hinata had to say.

Hinata nodded.
"We have more than enough evidence and witnesses to bring against her. Nadeshiko-san, Kobushi-san, can you get a hold of Akodo Ichiro? I want you all to tell Aiko-sensei about what happened to you. She is already in this fight. Bring the koku as evidence. I want you to try and get her to agree to come forward and testify."
Hinata clasped her hands together and placed them on the table, leaning forward.
"For my part, I will relay all this information to Yoshinobu. He is already scheduling a meeting with her at some time, though I know not when. He also has testimony, he witnessed her harassing me at the cafe on two occasions. I want to have all this testimony and evidence compiled so that Yoshinobu can present it to her. Hopefully she will take the warning to heart and back off. If even one suspicious thing happens to me after, we can bring the testimony of the Dragon Thunder and the crown prince down on her head."
She paused.
"I want you to tell Aiko-sensei of this plan as well. I do not want her to testify until Katsumi does something else stupid and we can bring all the evidence and authority we have to bear. I will give her one chance to back down, and if she does not we will destroy her."
She looked around at the rest of the group.
"The rest of you, I want you to remain on stand-by. This plan may be a strong one, but it has it's flaws. By giving her a chance to back down, I am also giving her a chance to react. Hopefully she will be too desperate to achieve anything too cunning, but she has proven wily thus far. I will not risk underestimating her."

Nade simply looked up at Hinata and nodded, her eyes stained red with tears "Okay Kuni-san, I'll do that. I'll do anything you need to make this right."

Momiko was torn; She could not the tell them about her alter ego, right? But was this not a job for Neko Hime? Telling them she wouldn't be on standby would be rude and misleading to her desire to help.
She put her elbow on her leg and her chin in her hand, trying to figure out what to say. And quick.

Yoshi felt confident that standing by was well within his skillset. More to the point, standing by a friend was definitely the right thing to do. He nods resolutely.

Satisfied to see people agreeing, Hinata nodded.
"Good. It seems we are in order, then. I will contact Yoshinobu and inform him of the plan."
She paused, seemingly in thought.
"And one last thing, I want you all to watch each-other's backs whenever possible. This whole plan could fall apart if she gets to even one of us. Stick together, try not to let her catch you alone. If she does, say your greetings and leave as fast as possible. Do not let her pull you in. Is that clear?"

Koshiro winces. "Uhmmm... are... are you sure you wanna do that, Hinata-san? I-I mean... don't get me wrong, Kami knows she likely deserves it, but... this all sounds a bit heavy... I mean, it... almost sounds like blackmail..." He shuffles a bit uncomfortably in his seat. "I just don't want to see you follow a path that turns you... into her... or rather what I imagine what she's like as I've never met her before, but you get the picture."
