Ichiro lets out an oof as the tetsubo hits him square in the shoulder but Ichiro quickly punishes the boy for his brashness and brings his tetsubo up and makes contact with boy on his stomach. ((attack stance: 23 orokos.com/roll/596078; tn 20 to hit.)) |

Koshiro grunts as the Lion's attack knocks the air out of him. "Two points for you, senpai." It wasn't like the outcome of this spar would've come out any different, really. The difference in level between them was obvious. With resignation, Koshiro drops to a simple defensive stance and awaits the inevitable third hit.

Ichiro grins at the boy as they take a few swings at one another but the boy clearly on the defensive finally the younger boy's tetsubo wasn't there and his practice tetsubo came down right on the boy's arm signaling the thiurd hit and the end of the spar. Ichiro bowed to the other student. "Koshiro-san that was pretty good. You are probably about as skilled as I with this weapon if not more so and your defenses are solid you just need to work on you speed." Koshiro bows in return. "Even with my meager skill with heavy weapons, you are clearly the better, senpai. Thank you for this opportunity to learn what I need to improve on." He rises up and looks to the Lion's shoulder where he hit it. "Does it hurt? I know a healing spell should you need it."

Ichiro rolls his shoulder a few times and smiles shaking his head. "Nah man thanks though it feels all right, you definitely caught me off guard with that attack though. wasn't expecting you to go from defending to all out attack like that. Nice move."

in the events of the past couple of days Ichiro had forgotten the little bout between the two with build fighter.
Ichiro chuckles "I am flattered by the compliment Koshiro-san but I am hardly perfect, I admit I am in good shape and have a pretty natural skill with most any weapon but I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed. I hate studying and reading most text books though I have started trying. Suffice it to say man I have many short comings and most of wehat I have I just got by working hard. You'll get there man just work hard these next couple of years and I'm sure you'll be able to do just about anything you want." he says with a smile as he claps the boy on the shoulder.

Koshiro smiles and nods. "I do hope so. I don't think there's many shugenja like me that prefer to wield a weapon instead of spells. I have a difficult path before me, but I will do my best with whatever comes. Thank you, senpai."
