Iweko Yoshinobu sat on the veranda of one of the any branching houses and residences that were tied to the main palace. This one in particular was his own residence - walled off and well protected from the palace at large. Getting here was nearly impossible without assistance from the Seppun - it would take a most skilled infiltrator to make it to this point. Being here was a great honor in and of itself. The wooden sitting area would provide a perfect view of the small flower and stone garden that belonged to the Prince. It would perhaps provide some serenity in the conversation with Otomo Katsumi. A nice view, a nice conversation, and a nice breakfast. The servants and Seppun had been informed that he was expecting her to join him this morning, so they palace was prepared to receive her.

Otomo Katsumi stared at the Imperial manor. I get the strangest feeling this is going to be irritating She takes a deep breathe as she makes her way through the manor towards were she had been informed the prince was awaiting her. She put on her best smile for him. "Dearest cousin. It is so good to see you again. It has been far to long since we've had a chance to speak... in private."

The Prince stands and offers the older woman a bow, motioning to a cushion for her to sit on.
"Otomo-san, good morning. It has been some time, has it not?" he replied pleasantly, before sitting down again himself in a practiced seiza. "I hope the morning and past few days have been treating you well. Nothing an Otomo can't handle, surely."

She glances at the cushion and smiles taking a seat. Fine fine small talk it is. "Oh yes teaching is quite... interesting to put it mildly. Though you are correct nothing beyond my capabilities as an Otomo." She folds her hands together. "Yourself Cousin. Have you been doing well?" With a poor harlot that I am consistently reminded of... don't worry cousin I will free you of her... influence.

"That is good to hear. From the sound of your voice, you use 'interesting' not as the classical curse but as a point of enjoyment. I think," he says the last part playfully, taking a nearby tea kettle and pouring them both a cup. Yoshinobu takes a sip of the tea - silver nettle, and allows himself a contented sigh.
"I have been. Most well. The school year has been fun so far."

Interchangeable I would think After her cousin drinks she will do the same. "Indeed it is a rather enjoyable experiment I would say." She sips her tea again. "After my sisters... untimely death coming to teach seemed like a fun way to distract myself. I am glad that it has been at least successful in that regard." She looks up at her cousin. "It joys me to see you are having a good time dear cousin. I had feared maybe you would find the classes to be a touch boring."

"No, they are far from it. Going to a public school has been an enriching experience to say the least."
His voice turns compassionate, though, afterwards. "Though I regret I had not heard about the passing of your sister. You have my condolences, Katsumi-san. Forgive me if my ignorance caused any undue discomfort."

"It's alright father tried his best to keep the incident a secret..." She looks away for a moment. "After all the nature of my sister's death is well... I hope you appreciate my desire to not speak of it." She takes a deep breathe to steady herself before turning her attention back towards the prince. "Then I am glad you are enjoying an enriching experience dear cousin."

"Of course. Say nothing more." And Yoshinobu meant it - he was not in the habit of making people, especially his guests, uncomfortable. Courtesy and Compassion demanded no less - on top of it being what some would call a 'dick move.'
"I feel the same, and am glad you are finding some joy in teaching." The Prince allows himself a small chuckle to lighten the air a bit. "You know, I thought about being a teacher once a few years ago. Back when I was a bit more naive."

She raises an eyebrow. "Oh and what would you have taught dear cousin?" She tilts her head seemingly genuinely interested.
