Nade decided to let Team Kogeki take the lead on this one, he seemed to be on a roll and already had an idea where this was going.

Kogeki frowns, scratching his head a lil stumped. "Was it about a political posting? Son clearing out the competition."

"Yes. The father held a religious office with more political than theological authority." She smiles, somewhat surprised. "I think you have a theory in mind, Gyushi-san."

Kogeki nods. "I do.. I just don't understand political stuff enough to be able to articulate it really. But I think the father was abusing his authority to mess with the kid somehow. Maybe block a marriage or something. Or maybe the Son can move up into the job."

She nods.
"If there are any further questions, I can answer them now. Otherwise, I'm willing to fill in the gaps."

Rodrigo just threw up his hands in a shrug, looking utterly confused. He then looked at Nadeshiko to see if she was as confused as he was.

Nade looked smug, like she had solved it ages ago... except she hadn't because she was just as clueless as Rodrigo was. That's the problem with spending most of your time engaged in Gaijin culture and ignoring your own.
She couldn't keep up the charade though, simply shrugging her shoulders and holding up her hands in the universal 'I have no clue' position for Rodrigo to see.

Kogeki blinks. "Wait.. I. I got it really? But...you sure that's right?" Seems he is as surprised and confused as anyone else to be proven right.

"Close enough, Gyushi-san."
She smiles as she relaxes a little.
"The son did, in fact, murder the father. The murder was carried out with a sidearm and was spur of the moment. The motive, though, had been brewing out of resentment. The father used the political authority of his position to ensure that his son was bound by a religious career. What the son wanted, despite his gifts, was to be a soldier."
She looks around at everyone, noting the confused looks.
"Now, I realize the exercise was unorthodox. That is the point. When analyzing an enigma, a straightforward analysis can sometimes fail you," she explains. "I do hope this made some sense. Otherwise, I'm doing my job too well."
