A sweatdrop figuratively formed on Momiko's forehead, "W-Well... um... there are five of us. So maybe you can just watch and take notes or something? If... we do that, I guess I would be paired up with..."
Now she was torn; There weren't any other girls besides the Phoenix. That left her with a boy. And while she would have preferred Yoshi, there was the possibility his roommate wanted to pair up with him.
"Or I could train with you Phoenix-san; I would promise to not make anything too difficult or such."

Koshiro who had probably finally walked in which let Momiko count him in their number waved his hand. "I'm actually still tired from heavy weapons class earlier. Maybe you girls can pair up, I'll go against whoever wins between Yoshi-san and Akodo-senpai." Like either Yoshi or I have a chance against senpai. Eh, it's training I suppose. He had a feeling he might've just cockblocked the two boys. Perhaps. But a sane mind had to watch and make sure nothing untoward happens during a class, right? But eh, who listens to a ronin anyway.

Ichiro bristled at the insult from the Phoenix. "Well excuse me for wanting to actually spend my time learning something rather than playing a game." What was this girls problem? All he did was suggest following the lesson plan he didn't care she sparred with.

"Um... go easy on me, ok, Ichiro-san?" Yoshi says, trying to distract his friend from his annoyance at the Phoenix woman. "I've got... a little skill in Defense, but like half of it was sword-based; blocks and parries." Yoshi was clearly inviting the Lion to go on the offensive first, but he actually might be more adept and dodging grappling than he realizes, having done his best to avoid bullying most of his childhood.
[OOC: We can just RP it rather than bother with actual combat rolling, if you want. Ichiro on the offense might miss Yoshi once or twice but actually get him eventually (only have Def 1, Ref 2), and Yoshi will fail miserably at grabbing Ichiro (Ag 2, no Juijutsu).]

Momiko looked back and forth between Mayumi and Koshiro, sparing the other two boys a glance before nodding, "Well, it seems we're all in agreement then?"
She then turned her attention more fully to Mayumi, "I'm Asahina Momiko, by the way. It is a pleasure to meet you."
She gave her own polite bow.
