It takes a bit, but soon Momiko is grappling Koshiro, "Mm mmm; You definitely have a defensive style that fits with a more heavy weapons style, Koshiro-san. Did you train with them even before you came to RHS?"
Momiko is very soft and smells like perfume, but only a very light lavender scent as she holds him from behind, letting go after a moment.

Gosh... She smells nice... and... soft? Wait, if she's holding me from behind, then... Koshiro shakes his head to get that line of thinking out of his head, then nods in response to her query. "Hai. I was working with my mother's construction crew before coming to RHS." He stretches out a bit after she releases him. "You have a good grip, Asahina-san. What sort of activities do you do to strengthen your grip like that?" he asks as he gets ready to try be on the offensive this time.

"Climbing, mostly; You have to have a good grip when you're climbing to make sure you don't slip."
She took up a defensive stance on her toes.

"I see. That explains it then." Koshiro nods and once they're both ready, he goes for a grapple. Which proves difficult as the girl was fast and nimble. There were a few times where he was close, but she always slipped away before he could do anything. There was also the question in his mind of where does a guy grab a girl in class that wouldn't be seen as improper to others. Also the fact that Yoshi seemed to be going for Momiko, and Koshiro isn't the type to grab another guy's girl. And he doubted she would like his stinky self to be sticking to her. Also there was a shiny thing that distracted him that one time. Honestly, Koshiro was simply making up a lot of reasons in his head why his multiple attempts to grapple Momiko had failed, but he does nod in acknowledgement of her defensive abilities at the end. "You're good at this." His nasty look makes it seem like he's grumpy about it, but he isn't.

Momiko practically dances out of the way, though her form isn't actually that great.
"Perhaps. It comes naturally, I think. Here, let me concentrate on what I'm doing."
Momiko closes her eyes briefly, opening them with a sigh, "O-Okay, let's try now; I need to get better. And better..."

Koshiro tilts his head, wondering what she was doing. Self-motivation, perhaps? Still, he nods and goes to try and grapple her again.

Momiko tries using defensive techniques and not just her natural nimbleness this time, and Koshiro eventually catches her, her movements somewhat predictable once it's clear she's working on one of the patterns from the manual.

Yoshi stops his pretty fruitless sparring with Ichiro to watch Koshiro and Momiko, having confusingly uncomfortable emotions about the former attempting to manhandle the latter. It was all in the name of education of course, so the young Dragon also felt rather guilty for this new sensation that was creeping into him. He's actually quite shocked and appalled with himself for what he's starting to realize is jealousy over such an innocent thing.

Koshiro gave a sigh of relief when he finally caught and grappled Momiko. "Yosh, finally got you." He nods, congratulating himself inwardly, until the corner of his eye caught Yoshi watching them. He froze for a bit before quickly releasing the Crane in his arms, turning around so as not to face her, clearing his throat, and rubbing the back of his neck. "Ah, yes, ah, good practice, Asahina-san. Yes, good practice. Uh, hey, looks like Yoshi-san wants to try practicing with you too. You should totally practice with him. Yeah." Smooth, Koshiro. Real smooth.

Momiko bows to Koshiro as he lets go, Momiko looking over as Yoshi was mentioned, "Hm? He does look pretty intense."
She gave the slightly scary but nice ronin one last smile before making her way over towards Yoshi and Ichiro.
