"I... appreciate your honesty, Utaku-san," Yoshi says sincerely but no less at a loss. Knowing as much about polearms as Joo-Eun did about Temple Club, he tries to pivot the conversation. "Do you know Utaku-sensei well? She seems quite nice; not too strict, for a teacher."

"I...know Mako-chan adores her and she seems nice enough, but her daughter is not among my favorite people," Joo-Eun replies, honestly.

"Oh, I know Mako-san...," Yoshi says, though a few shared classes and watching her get drunk at a cheering-up party didn't make them all that close. "Does Utaku-sensei's daughter go to school here, too?" So far, Yoshi had surpisingly yet to meet any fellow student that he could honestly say he disliked, so he was curious if this daughter of his Club Advisor might be the exception.

"Oh, thank the Fortunes, no. Or at least I don't think she is. I mean, it could be she's rooming with her mother and I've just been fortunate not to have classes with her yet."

"I... can ask Utaku-sensei... next time I see her," Yoshi offers. A moment later, hopefully before she decides he's totally clueless, he adds, "Of course, I can be subtle about it and not mention it's on your behalf because you don't care for the woman!" Just then, both of their phones register an incoming text, however Joo-eun's registers a second, additional one that Yoshi's does not. "Oh... pardon me," he says, moving to read and respond to the incoming message. His tiny screen and lack of keyboard make this a rather lengthy chore.

Joo-Eun, due to the fact her hands are full, is unable to respond immediately to the text, but she would as soon as she could. Otherwise, she looks at Yoshi.
"No offense, Tamori-san, but has Utaku-sensei mentioned the fact she has kids around you, let alone what type? It might be kinda creepy if you ask after the whereabouts of her daughter if she doesn't bring it up."

"I... could just say... that I'm looking to marry one day... and that she has the sort of bone structure and temperment I'm looking for but in someone more my age so... by the Fortunes, you're right, that was a terrible idea," Yoshi says, blushing profusely. "Sometimes... my desire to be helpful outstrips my ability. Sorry, Utaku-san; I definitely won't mention it unless it comes up."

"It's alright. You mean well," Joo-Eun reassures the Tamori.

"I'm glad that comes across," Yoshi says, genuinely relieved. As they walk closer to Joo-Eun's destination, he tells her, "That text I got was from Mako-san, by the way. She's inviting... probably a lot of people, I'm guessing... to an anime marathon at her house tonight." He nods encouraging, figuring it wasn't coincidence that her phone had gone off at the same time.

"Yeah. I saw," Joo-Eun says, tucking the papers under one arm as she responds, smiling at the second message, just for her.
