"When I said I knew Mako-san... I admit it isn't all that well," he informs Joo-Eun. "Maybe this... gathering, tonight... will be a better opportunity. I'd like to get to know her... and you too, of course." He looks hopeful on both accounts.

"Mako-chan is worth getting to know. She's a real sweetheart. I've known her for a few years now, and...well...this is typical her."

"Throwing parties, you mean?" Yoshi replies. He smiles and nods. "Our mutual... acquaintance, I guess is the best term... Doji Hoshiko-san was feeling sad just yesterday, so Mako-san hosted an impromptu get-together to cheer her up. There were drinks and karaoke and... other... things." He trails off, remembering that there were also girls kissing and leaving together to spend a lot of time in a bedroom, but he thought it polite not to mention that.

Joo-Eun looks at Yoshi, "You mean she and some others had a rather more physical idea of cheering up, neh?"

"Er... just one other... her girlfriend, Ichiro-san," Yoshi answers. "I mean, Mako-san was looking like she wanted to kiss Doji Hoshiko-san too, but Hoshiko-san needed cheering up because she'd had a fight with her boyfriend, so it was probably... not a sober decision. That's why Ichiro-san took away Mako-san's drink and... they ended up in her bedroom together... for a while." He's a little embarrassed to be talking about this so openly, but he got the impression he wasn't revealing anything new to Eun-Joo. Plus, there had been plenty of other people there who'd seen the same thing and drawn the same conclusions.

Joo-Eun can't help but laugh a little, "That does sound like Mako. She is a very loving person and often thinks that sharing love with people is bound to make their lives brighter. She... generally means well. Priya is a good fit for her, though. She helps keep her a bit more grounded, which is good for both of them, 'cause Priya does deserve people who genuinely love her without any sort of reservations."

"People... yeah," Yoshi says, somewhat uncomfortably noting the plural nature of the noun. He had definitely not missed that Priya had been verbally expressing heavy interest in another woman not at the party, despite being Mako's "girlfriend", until he'd told her that it was the same person which he had just begun dating. So, he certainly appreciated the Ichiro woman's groundedness, especially when it came to boundaries.
"I'd like to get to know Ichiro-san better, too," he says, a moment later going wide-eyed. "Not... in that way of course... just... as friends... all of you." Of course, assuring her he was not thinking of any of them in that way causes him to think of all them in pretty much exactly that way, and he blushes fiercely before averting his eyes from her.

Joo-Eun looks at Yoshi, "You are odd, Yoshi-san. But the sort of odd that comes off as extra sincere."

"Thanks...," Yoshi says, definitely flattered and not insulted in the least. "I... did take a Sincerety class my first day." Of course, he can't bring himself to take full credit for her positive impression.

Joo-Eun laughs softly, "Well, I am sure it did you some good."
