Yoshi liked to think that it was a hallmark of a good student to be wandering the halls before class, getting acquainted with the layout of the school and generally making sure everything was tidy and in order. However, the reason he was doing it today is because he had stayed up entirely too late the night before, and he was walking around in order to wake himself up. Meditating or staying in bed might lead him to miss his first class, and he did not want to miss out on another chance to learn from the Dragon Clan Thunder herself. So, being somewhat aimless, he wasn't really expecting to run into another such model student while upon his rounds. And yet... Utaku Joo-Eun

In this case, Joo-Eun is running through the halls, carrying a bunch of paperwork relating to the naginatado club, seeming a bit flustered and annoyed. She didn't want to have to have the responsibility of dealing with all of the paperwork, but she did. Such is life. She about runs into Yoshi as she charges through, not really paying all that much attention.

"Whoa!" Yoshi says, barely getting out of the way in time. Seeing her flustered and paper-laden state, he offers, "Can... can I help you with that, Utaku-sama? I'd hate for you to hurt yourself by going too fast while overburdened." Or others, but he was too polite to mention that he'd almost been a victim of her haste.

"Ah. Gomen, Tamori-san. I can manage. I just have to get this to the athletics office, even though, apparently, none of the other first or second years from last year are wanting to continue, so I wound up captain by default, as none of the first year students this year wanted the job..."

"Oh, it's a club thing," Yoshi says, walking along with the young Unicorn regardless of his assitance not being needed. "I got my own Captaincy pretty much by default too, of Temple Maintenance Club. The Faculty Advisor didn't say anything about paperwork... but... we did get pretty distracted by... other things. I can at least keep you company on the way, if you'd like?" Yoshi also considered that he might be able to forewarn her of impending obstacles in her way too, like other people, but decided to keep that to himself until neccessary.

Joo-Eun looks at Yoshi a bit suspiciously for a few moments, then shrugs, "Alright. And...well...sports clubs tend to have more paperwork associated with them, because of the fact you sometimes have to travel to other schools and then there are the release forms for if you get injured due to your own foolishness during training and stuff like that."

"I still might want those releases," he muses as they walk together. "I wouldn't want the school to get in trouble if someone... slips off a roof while repairing shingles... or a statue falls on them... or something." He was starting to think he should consult Koshiro about the hazards of maintenance and repair.

"I thought that club wasn't about the actual physical stuff, though," Joo-Eun replies, looking a bit baffled, "Because that's more the maintenance department's job, isn't it?"

"We... sort of got our Faculty Adviser by default too, so...," he tells her, shrugging. "I'm pretty sure we're at least supposed to... clean up, and whatnot? Sweeping? We're just three First Years and Utaku Hisui-sensei. If you know more about it from past experience, I'd be honored for any advice you could give." It took him a little time, but he'd caught from the context of Joo-Eun's previous words that she was a Second Year.

"Advice? Look, I'm going to be honest. I didn't deal much with the temple maintenance stuff, because that was more the domain of other students. I mean, for all I know, they could have done actual building stuff," Joo-Eun replies, shrugging a little.
