"I take it that it was no simple act of vandalism, then?" Saito reasons. The average rebellous youth usually would defintely stay well clear of doing something so sacreligious, and even the most disaffected still probably wouldn't touch those ancient carvings over other targets.

"Maybe I should have a word about it with our resident Spider, the candy tycoon," Saito says, more to himself than Yokohime. He wasn't one to ignore omens, but he was even less one to know how best to interpret them. "Do keep me informed, I suppose.... Is there anything else of interest occurring? How fares your own interpersonal life?" He realizes he's fishing in deep waters now, for just a hint at whether he has to worry about her father descending upon him unnanounced, but such was the price he had to pay for information.

Yoko tilted her head once again. "But, you don't think I am a Scorpion. How am I to trust someone that considers me a non member of the clan?" She was curious to see how Saito would answer that.
