"Not flirting indeed?" Saito says, leering at her a little as she refills her water. "A stab in the back while looking you in the face sounds suspiciously like an embrace." He chuckles and shakes his head.
"No, I have no reason to stab you in the back," Saito tells her. "Do please consider the fact that I have never been anything but honest with you. I was very candid about my disdain, just as I am being truthful now, giving you the opportunity to earn my respect."

"An Imperial; far from concerned, I'm impressed," Saito replies. "See if you can lure him into the Clan rather than marrying out. I'm sure your father would hate to lose you." He's not above guilting her, or keeping her around, if it meant bolstering their ranks with a highly regarded Seppun.

"Huh... I doubt he would find me as marrying material, Shosuro sensei. But you are right, father wouldn't want me to marry out of the clan after all the efforts to make me officially a Bayushi I doubt marrying out would be an option."
