Ichiro gave Tsubasa a small smile and placed a hand on her side "thank you Tsubasa-chan" he said looking in her eyes the more familiar honorific more slipping out than intentional "just being with amazing people like you is all i need right now."

"Well I'm glad I could help" she murmurs, pulling back and lifting the bokken again before twirling to whack the dummy once more "And if things go bad, you can just beat up this dummy a lot more!"

"True I suppose, though I typically like taking my frustrations out on moving targets. The dummys don't really give me the thrill I need anymore. I suppose they can do for a nice bit of stress relief in a pinch." he says and then executes a flourish of blows on the dummy the bokken barely kissing the dummy before clacking hard into it on another spot, his movements were quick but also precise. this was clearly his element.

Tsubasa took a step back to watch him fight, eyeing his practiced movements for several long moments before moving up to another dummy to try and mimic him, trying to learn from his example.
"Well, I can't promise I'll be good at it but you can always try and hit me"

"I'm afraid you can't handle me yet Tsubasa-chan, besides I get the thrill from testing my mettle against an equal foe. Your offer is appreciated But I'm always willing to teach what I can to interested students, everyone should know that basics of how to use their wakizashi." he said with a nod.

"I had no aspirations of beating you, this is my first after all. I simply you could try and bonk me on the head and I'd try and stop the sword with my hands, that way I could be super cool! and everyone would call me Hand Catch Tsubasa or something cool like that"

Ichiro grins at the girl "if you wish to try and catch the bokken I'll do my best not to put any cracks in the pretty head of yours." he says as he shifts into an attack stance with the bokken high over his head.

Tsubasa puts her own down, leaning it against the dummy as she gets ready with both hands in front of her. She watches the bokken, having gotten a good feel for the timing of his swings just watching him train.
"Go for him, you can actually hit me if you want. Call us even~"

Tsubasa watched that bokken, etching it's passge into her mind as it swung down upon her. His swing was much faster than hers but she had spent her entire life practicing. Both hands slapped up at the last second, her palms sealing against the wooden blade to stop it from impacting her skull with just an inch or two to go. Hand Catch Tsubasa: 37 "HAH! HAH! I did it! Barely but I did it! that was amazing, did you see that? we should have set up a camera, we should have made sure we filmed it." |
