Yoshinobu wanted to kiss Hinata more than anything right now. That was the only thing the woman would ever have to say to have him in the palm of her hand. Rather than take her hand so openly, Yoshinobu touched his foot to hers under the table.
"That'll be the next place we go, then. Kuni lands." He stared at Hinata in silence for a few moments, just to be broken out of the moment by the waitress ready to take their entree order.
The Prince laughed nervously, before looking to the woman. "Two of the steak sandwiches please. Also, the steak and shrimp platter - medium rare, with the parsnip puree please."

Hinata happily played footsie under the table, and was enjoying it before being startled by the waitress. She had been so busy looking at Yoshinobu that she had not even noticed the girl approach.
"Ah! Yes, entrees, um..."
She cleared her throat.
"...a steak and shrimp platter sounds lovely, I'll have one of those as well. Medium, please. Can I get a glass of water as well?"
Ancestors knew she needed it after that little moment. It was beginning to feel suspiciously warm in here, and not just from the sake.

"Of course. I'll bring a pitcher. Your orders shouldn't take long, samas," the waitress says, bowing to the two before retrieving the pitcher of water and leaving it on the table. She fills each glass and then takes her leave.
Yoshinobu continued to munch at his salad, resting his cheek in his free hand - and continuing the footsy playing. "You're so cute when you're ambushed like that. I'll keep that moment to myself, rather than painting it." He chuckled again as he finished his starter. In fact, he has something better in mind for after the meal.
"So, anywhere else you'd like to see during our travels. Or anywhere specific, I guess I should say."

"Oh, I'm cute? You should see yourself when the same thing happens to you."
She chuckled and repeated Yoshinobu's action, leaning forward and putting her head in her hands.
"As for where I'd like to go...that's just the thing, it's not something I've ever really thought about. The idea of travelling was just so far removed from what I'd actually be able to ever do..."
She paused, thinking on it.
"...but I think I'd like to see Dragon lands as well. Crab lands have mountains, but nothing like the ones there. I hear they're a bit stark, but...there's a sort of beauty to that."

"Stark, yes, and extremely beautiful. The sunrise there is breathtaking. Yet another sunny place for both of us to search for," the Prince grins, closing his eyes. "There are probably lots of people in need of medical aid, all over Rokugan. If you decide that you do want to do something with medicine, it is an opportunity to show a great deal of Compassion to others as well."
"It's a very poetic notion and one fitting for you." She was all those things and more. Of course, the Prince didn't mention how well she wore her maid outfit too. She did hate it, after all.

Hinata grinned, picking up on what Yoshinobu had just done.
"Using Dragon lands to describe me. Very clever. I don't know if I'd describe myself as particularly mountainous, though, would you?" she teased.
"As for medical skills...I'd want to learn a bit more before giving serious medical aid to anyone. I know the basics, but...well...nobody should be trusting their life with me just yet."

"Less the scenery itself, and more the emotions the mountainside evokes. I'd say that is what the two of you have in common more than anything," Yoshinobu replied evenly, that round of teasing having little effect on him.
"I think you'll learn a lot more by then. Sometimes, that is all the eta and heinin need, right? If we can at least give them basic medicine and help them know their future Emperor is there for them, I think that will mean a lot. Well, I hope so anyways."

Hinata noted the lack of effect. It seemed the duel was over for now. Very well, it was not as if they could tease each-other constantly.
"I agree completely. To travel the country helping people is a very noble idea. On top of that, it's just sensible. Getting to know how all the castes live day to day would be incredibly useful information for a leader, and foster goodwill as you said."
She paused, then added: "Plus, it might just be fun to travel the country by foot and car."

"Or bike," the Prince interjects. "I could get one for the each of us. When I tell my parents about a musha shugyo, I think a motorcycle will be the least of their concern."

Hinata grinned.
"Or bike, yes. Why didn't I think of that? We'd be like the ancestors, travelling the country on horseback, only our horses have engines."
Her expression then sobered as what he said dawned on her.
"...I hope they approve your decision, though. I'm sure you could make a compelling argument."
