"Once, some time ago, the Fortune of the Kitchen's statues suddenly appeared to have scorched hands. No one ever confirmed it, but a common peasant rumor was that her hands were burned in some manner and it reflected on her statues," she says, recounting the story to the students. "If we go with a literal interpretation of the statue, Goemon is in pieces. Or he might be scattered somehow. We should consider that possibility on further inquiries into the matter."

She then looked at Nadeshiko.
"Well...I think it is your turn to commune with the kami."

Nade nodded and knelt next to the statue. She followed a similar spellcasting ritual to Hinata, only this time she tried to commune with the Fire Kami. The results were not promising however, the kami seemingly uninterested... or perhaps even absent based on the lack of actual fire near the girl. Spellcasting: 12 She takes a deep breath, trying to center herself before decides to try again. |

The fire kami in some of the incense and candles within the shrine come to life, the flames whispering to Nadeshiko. Always, always with the questions! Can't we just burn out in peace? What is it you want, Unicorn?

There was no one person that caused this, but many. I'll tell you who started it though. Someone named Michio.

Nade stuck her tongue out at the fire kami. "If I'm such a Baka, maybe I'll accidentally spill some water on the incense braziers! but hmph, thank you very much for the info." Nade stands then and turns to face Hinata and Hisui and Priya. "Those smarmy things told me that it was many people who did this.. but it was started by a man named Michio." Lore History: 23 "Which if I remember correctly was a Spider who fought Goemon in the past. Maybe he came back to finish the job?" |

"It seems they don't like it when I ignore them which is a good way to get more information out of these things. IT seems Michio has already moved on to stronger targets... so he might have beaten Goemon and that's why the statues all broke... which isn't a good thing."
