"My mom loves spicy food and so does my grandma, they sorta forced it on me until I converted. I find it brings out some of the flavour and gives it a lovely kick. Do you like spicy stuff? I thought Merenae cuisine could be quite spicy~ I mean that's one of the reasons I like you so much, you're pretty spicy yourself."

"You haven't looked in the right place then. My mother grows this gaijin pepper... like a pepper pepper from overseas. They call it a "Ghost Pepper." Just a nibble is enough to make me burst into flames. Not literally though."
She takes another long sip of her tea before slurping another thick bite of her noodles.

"I have not! My mother only grows a small patch of peppers and the ghost is the strongest one she has. Some of the village men like eating them as a challenge. However, I would love to try this Yodotai Reaper and then on my tombstone you can write "Was not a coward""
Nade grinned though, leaning forward to lightly squeeze one of Rodrigos hands before pulling away to take another bite of her dinner.

Rodrigo grinned and shook his head, eating some more of his noodles.
"Oh, I could talk peppers for hours. Yodotai Reaper isn't even the hottest, not anymore. There's one called the Dragon's Breath that can actually kill you if you eat it. You'd think eventually they'd stop and say 'hey, maybe we're going too far with this'."

"The number of times I've done stupid stunts with no training just because they look fun...well, let's just say I've been in the hospital more than a few times."
He leaned back and spread his arms out.
"Guess that's what makes people great though, eh? We're all a bunch of mad bastards."
