"That sounds pretty terrible. Like it would really hurt. Over here we at least try and make things painless you know? Chop off the head in one fell swoop and all that. This however has sort of moved past dinne conversation eh?"
She pauses for a moment as a faint trill trickles out of one of her pockets.
"Uhh, that's my moms message noise. Do you mind if I quickly check that?"

Nade smiled and tugged out her phone, running her finger over the fingerprint scanner before reading the email she received. Her expression changed a few times from happy, to excited, to sour, to excited once more before she typed out a quick reply and tucked it back in her pocket.
"My mother is coming on Sunday. I told her I asked Aiko-sensei... oh right, I asked Aiko-sensei if she would train me to be a Kitsuki Investigator. She told me I had a lot of work I needed to do including getting the head of my school right now to give permission. T..that's my mom and so I told her what I wanted and she just emailed and said it was okay but she wanted to meet Aiko-sensei first... soooooo, she's coming down and this is going to be exciting and rough and fun."

"She knows about you so she'll absolutely want to meet you at least once. Don't let her get to you too much, she's very strong willed about what she wants. Then she warms up to you and in her eyes we'll be married already. She's also the head of the family company so if you're looking for business interests she's the woman to talk to."

Rodrigo chuckled and scooped up some more noodles.
"I look forward to meeting her."

Nade stuck out her tongue and muttered under her breath for a moment, just because he was right. Hmph.
She takes another bite of her noodles, finishing off the plate before pushing it lightly away.
"I'm sure she'll love you. Then she'll tell my grandmother who will love you and that's when you're really in trouble."

"She used to cook WAY too much food, that is completely true. She's slowed down a bit in her old age now, she gave up the family business about 3 years ago and handed it to my mom and dad but she still likes to meddle, retirement does not seem to suit her well."
