"And Aiko-chan has taken Priya-chan under her wing, training her. Mentoring her and keeping her away from a different sensei."
"Neither of them told you any of this?"
She does, however, breathe a little easier. Akane hadn't chased after them. It was small, insignificant comfort, but she held to it all the same. As irrational as it was, she could cling to some miniscule light in the situation. Akane wasn't a predator. An opportunist, but not a predator.

"Iie; Aiko-chan certainly said nothing of the sort. And I'd not even met Otomo Mako-san until the day before she asked me out. I know I'm not just forgetting this stuff, Hisui-chan."
Akane was honest, if nothing else.
"But anyways, what do those things have to do with any of this? Why would Aiko-chan mind me and a pupil of hers having fun together? Or you mind me being close to someone you're like an older sister to? You don't believe I would take advantage of either of them, do you?"

"Of course not! You would never take advantage of anyone!" she answers. It is the honest truth. Akane abusing her authority was the least of Hisui's worries. "I am trying very hard not to panic over this. Because this can get you fired, shamed. You could be ruined if any of this gets out."
She sighs.
"That's what I'm worried about most."

"I... I'm aware of that. Remember, I dated a sensei in high school myself. But worrying about that kinda thing just isn't in my nature; When a young woman asks me out, just like any other woman, I want to make them happy. I want to share my energy and happiness with them. And that goes beyond anything."
She stops and leans against a tree that's planted in the sidewalk, "...If you and Aiko-chan really wanted me to stop, I would. But only because both of you are special to me. But I'm not worried about myself; I don't care about shame or jobs or popularity if it means living a life according to my ideals."

The sigh that comes out is heavy and tired. She wonders what her next move should be. She could get Akane to stop, of course. It was the rational thing to do. The former Lioness would make an effort, for the sake of her friends. But…Hisui also knew Mako well. It took monumental effort to get the little Otomo to stop once she'd decided on a course of action.
The emotions play out on her face. Fear. Concern. Anxiety. Contemplation. Resignation. She takes Akane's hand, holds it.
"I won't stop you. Mostly because I know all the people involved well enough," she says. "But promise me you'll be careful? There are so many ways this could blow up in all your faces."

She thinks.
"...I will try. Any particular advise in that respect? Other than not dragging any of that stuff on campus?"

She thinks a moment. She'd hidden her own little affair with a sensei well enough years ago. Until it all came crashing down and she had to leave, at least.
"Keeping it off-campus is a start. You'll want to keep up your normal routine, if you have one, and work your meetings around that." A pause. "Mako-chan has a place off-campus. Visit during the day, so it's less suspicious."
"And I can't believe I'm telling you all this."

At the talk of rumors, she shrugs.
"Teachers dating students is probably a favorite topic of the rumor mill. Did you know I give out my door code to female students?"
