"I love you, Hinata. If things are looking up, then they are on top of a mountain," Yoshinobu said, rubbing Hinata's lower back as he plugged in the toaster with his free one.

Hinata chuckled and nuzzled him briefly, then looked at the kitchenware.
"I love you too, but...perhaps we should keep our hands free while we're working in the kitchen, neh? Don't wanna burn the palace down."

"Hands off it is, then!" Yoshinobu replied with a smirk, holding his hands up like a bandit that had just been caught red handed. Conveniently, the servants knocked on the door moments later and informed Yoshinobu they would be leaving the requested items outside.
He went to retrieve them, bringing in some rashers of bacon, a half loaf of bread and butter and jams, and six eggs. "Here we are. So, what do you want to learn to do first?"

"I'd say we start with eggs. I always seem to get them stuck to the pan."

"Eggs it is then. How do you like yours made Hinata? I suppose that is the first question."
Yoshinobu cuts on the stove top, and adds a spritz of oil to a pan.

Hinata thought for a moment.
"...sunny side up."
She then looked at him.
"...yes feel free to make jokes about my name."

"U swear the thought never crossed my mind," he jested. "Okay then. If they get stuck to the pan, you might not have been using oil, or at least enough of it."
Yoshinobu sets the pan down on the stove, and then passes Hinata the half carton of eggs. "Cracking them is all in the wrist. Gentle and quick, so the egg doesn't explode - then turn it upright. Use the edge of the pan."
After he explains the method, he watches to see how she does. " After that it is just a matter of waiting until the whites cook. You just have to pay attention."

Hinata nodded, and took an egg in one hand, then tapped it against the edge of the pan gently. Too gently, in fact. She made a frustrated noise, then tapped it again with a bit more force; too much force, this time. A bit of egg spattered out of the broken shell, but at least it did not explode. Hinata sighed, then took the egg in both hands and opened it over the pan.
"...well, that's not off to a good start, is it?" she said as she looked over the egg, noticing a few bits of shell in it.
"Ugh, how am I gonna get those out?"

Yoshinobu grabbed a pair of chopsticks and passed them to the Kuni, chuckling a little as he watched her.
"Here you go. Just be gentle, and try not to break the yolk. Just fish them out as carefully as you can," he tried to explain, eyes moving from Hinata to the pan with the egg. "And like anything, just have some confidence and the egg will turn out fine."

Hinata nodded, clicking her tongue quietly as she focused on trying to grab the tiny pieces of shell out of the egg. She was a bit more competent with this; she had done dissections before, the principles were not very different. Granted, one usually had better tools than a pair of chopsticks for such extractions, but one must always work with the tools given. She managed to get all the pieces out without breaking the yolk, though she did make a few holes in the egg white.
"...okay...now I just need to flip it without breaking the yolk. Easier said than done."
