Nade eventually stood and offered some more money to the offering box. Then something caught the corner of her eye and she grinned, waiting for Hinata to stand before taking her hand and lightly dragging her over to O-mikuji (fortunes) stand. "This should be fun!" She pulleda 5 yen coin from her pocket, dropping it in the offering box before taking the honeycomb shaped box, shaking it, and letting the stick fall out with her fortune number. ((If you wanna have some fun, first roll is a d12 and second is a d14 based on the two lists here.)) Roll 1: 2 Roll 2: 12 She ran her finger over the the random scrolls before pulling out the one she pulled, a quick read has her cheeks burning red as she quickly crumples the paper up in her hands. "Eh-heh-heh... I get my one wish... in regards to having kids. Oh boy, my mom is gonna be happy with this fortune."

Kobushi gives it a try, doing the same thing Nadeshiko did. The first fortune he pulls out is okay. A "middle blessing" wasn't a bad thing, he thinks. The second fortune is a little beyond him. Auspicious and inauspicious directions weren't his area of expertise. Most things weren't. "Well, I suppose I'll have to figure this one out," he says as he looks for a nearby tree to tie them to, in hopes of improving his luck.

Hinata stood and followed Nadeshiko, chuckling. It was always fun when Nadeshiko got excited over something. "Alright, let us see what I get..." Hinata deposited a coin in the box, then pulled out her fortune. Once she did, her expression fell. "O...oh..." She just stood there, staring at the paper. (( Half curse about childbirth REALLY!? ))

"If it's bad, just leave it here along the wall," Yoshi reassures Hinata, nodding to the place designated for poor luck to be left behind so it didn't follow the receiver. "I'll give it a try too, why not." He has some pocket change and puts a coin in to find out what scrolls he'll get. "Hrm," he says, reading them. " Small blessing, studies or learning. I guess we'll see how small when we get today's test results back." He laughs and shakes his head, pocketing the scrolls for luck.

Hinata nodded, and left her note along the wall.
"...a half curse about childbirth, though...that is worrying."

Nade pondered for a moment before disappearing for a few moments to return with a wooden plaque.
"Hinata, if you write a wish on this and then hang it up on the wall over there. Everyone who visits will pray for you including the temple staff."
Nade pulls out a sharpie then for Hinata to use.

Hinata took the offered sharpie and wrote down her wish on the plaque. She did not wish for an easy childbirth; no, Yoshi said she could just leave that along the wall. Instead she took into account what Yoshinobu had told her this morning, and made one more wish to the heavens.
She wished to marry her beloved.

Kobushi decides to take a plaque of his own. He is much more careful, though. He writes down using one of the markers the temple had. He finds a blank spot, making sure the face with the design is visible and not the one with the wish.
His work done, he returns to his friends.

"So... what's everyone been up to since lunch yesterday?" Yoshi asks, leaning casually against low stone wall as Hinata and Kobushi pin up their wishes. Feeling he should clarify a bit, he adds, "I say 'since yesterday', because we didn't really have time for a lot of small-talk during our trip into the woods. I mean, we ate lunch and talked some, but Ichiro-san and the teacher were there, and... it was still kind of worrying to be around that place, with the Spider's memorial, even with the gaki gone."

"I like to think I've been well. Got some work on that doll done. I'm almost finished with my part. Had some good classes," he says, answering the question as best he could. "Still haven't met my roommate outside of classes. I don't think he sleeps."
