Day 9, C3: Welcome to Blue Tears

"She won't agree," Meta said matter-of-factly. "She likely never stated what I had said that had caused her to throw others to the fire as opposed to herself. I had told her that she, and likely those of her blood, are no Mirumoto. If we duel she would be defending against that."

The man crossed his arms and leaned back in his seat, "Unless, your next lines are to tell me she is willing to actually settle such disputes as the Empire dictates."

"You'd be right, I won't," The duelist answered confirming Fuyuko's words.

"My daughters duel can be taken care of as needed, however, you repeat the use of using such things as bait. I don't know what it is you and the others hope to have crawl out, but if the idea that some enemy will foolishly reveal themselves just to see a Crane and Dragon duel, then you have no plan. The Shadow Dragon and those beneath him are not idiots. They haven't been working at this just to be suddenly caught out in the open because a few students and sensei decided to host a duel between two people of the families they are purposely trying to cause conflict between."

Meta frowned for a moment. It had been mostly a repeat of his daughters words, but at least different thoughts were being given. "Doji-san, you were a magistrate for how many years?"

"It's not different," Meta corrected, "The shadow dragons spawn are still criminals. They still act like any other of those who you prosecute. The difference is they can appear as a normal person, and are working to perpetuate legal affair."

Meta opened up a small drawer in his desk, pulling out a small black notebook. He flipped open to some pages, before he looked back up to Uetani and Fuyuko. "I have no advice for a poor plan. Nor can I offer much in the way of knowledge. We fought them only briefly, though the ones we faced were resistant to our blades. Jade or Nemuranai, it doesn't matter. That said, light will diminish their strength. If you have it, I believe crystal is their only weakness."

He closed the book and set it down. "I have hunted them down for some considerable time, but of those I have found, they didn't replicate these traits. At least, not to the extent during the war."

Meta narrowed his eyes at Fuyuko. "If you are here to waste my time by telling me how an enemy you know nothing about operates, then leave. I have been tracking the allies they have, and disrupting the resources they use behind the scenes. They are not untouchable, so don't presume they are," he said.

"Both Clan champions have opted to keep this quiet. You are free to not. If the Dragon thunder so decides to finally duel me, by all means, perhaps she is willing to throw away her name for the clans. If you feel you can convince a Kitsuki or Mirumoto to insult their family and clan to have their rival defend them in a duel, feel free to try. If you think you can convince the jade magistrates into believing a supernatural force is behind the feud while keeping the clan champions command into place, go for it." The Kenshinzen casually tossed the options at Fuyuko, poked holes with them.

"However, if you feel the desire to do some actual investigation, magistrate, then why not start with the easiest of options first. I believe you were informed that a Mirumoto Okoro didn't exist until about a year ago. However, the feud apparently started two and half years ago. The question to ask is, who would have suffered from the feud before Okoro appeared?" The man inquired as he pulled out a piece of paper and began to write something down on it.
