He paused in his writing and folded up the letter before he started to seal it closed.

Fuyuko nods. "That would be..an investigation I can do without too much notice. After all the boy is my student. Such a thing would not seem out of place. And I have no choice but to delve deeper Kakita-sama. An Injustice has occurred. I must correct it. Even if it costs me life, pride and name. There is no other option. The white haired man slightly shook his head. "He was a crime lord, if his duel had anything to say about it. He will fall back on that and the local lord will back him since he allowed it at all," Meta noted as he pushed the letter forward and across the desk. The plain white paper was simply folded over itself, but held a thickness to it that one could not simply hold it up to any light and see what it read. A thin tape seal held the triple folded letter closed.
"Take this letter back with you. Should you and your comrades travel to the Dragon lands, you may present it to the residing lord of the Crane there. Do not lose it, do not open it, and make sure that after he has read it you receive it back," He informed Fuyuko and Uetani. "If you value your lives, make sure you are all ready for a fight. Because that is what you are going up there to do."

It was at about this moment the door behind Meta swung open with the smallest of creaks and Tsuki stepped out. In her arms she carried a small tray stacked with a few cups and a teapot with a trail of steam following closely after her. The young priestess quickly made her way around the group and set it down on the table over by the sofa's and tv. She was quick to start filling each cup regardless if they wanted any or not. It was only when she set the teapot down did she take a seat and silently watch the remainder of a conversation she had jumped into.

Fuyuko raises her brow. "This letter will provoke a fight through which we will gain information. Do you mind if I bring backup? And do you have any idea the level of threat this will call down upon us? Clearly you want this to be more subtle since you didn't go yourself."

The man dismissed the severity of the question an impassive look. "I assume you would, considering it will fall on the Mirumoto to tend to the duel it will provoke. How they react after that will either be to flee or fight. It is always the latter, and it is always a group. When and where will depend on how things play out."
Meta slipped the black back back into the drawer. "I don't go because I have other leads. I would be slowed down by your group."

Fuyuko sighs slightly. "So I should bring a Mirumoto. In the past have you faced conventional warfare or supernatural. As dedicated as I am to my duty, I would hate to leave me daughter an orphan before I even finish adopting her because I was missing a crucial detail." she says calmly.
"This is fine. And understandable. Perhaps the Dragon Thunder can assist us if she has time. It would add some symmetry to have her answer the challenge the letter generates."

"Bring the group you spoke with in that meeting where you learned the truth of everything. You will need all of them if this is to work, and since they know the truth, they are likely the allies you need. The only man to lay claim to defend his honor will be the young Mirumoto who insulted me. The others are for the likely fall out should he win his duel," said Meta.

"Mirumoto-san will not win his duel though, will he" she offers a little smile "I imagine that Kakita-sama will ask you to champion her, as you were the one insulted. Of course, I would offer my service as well, though I doubt it will be needed"

"That is a different duel," Meta replied to Uetani, "And no, he won't win the duel with my daughter. However, he at least has the pride to say it and accept the consequences."
He looked over to the sword that rested casually against the desk. "As for her champion. Yes, I have been asked."
