She is skilled. Perhaps even beyond skilled. One day she has the opurtunity to be a true Champion. As of now though, she is no Thunder. They face each other for some time, a slight twitch of her hand giving her away... Iai focus void: 10d10ro1o10k9+11 88

The twitch was less then halfway through when Meta moved. As his thumb pushed against the tsuba his fingers coiled around the handle and pulled. His foot came forward and his body leaned in as the dark metal blade left the scabbard like a bolt of lightning, as if the very sword itself was leaping out so that it could bite into whoever stood before it. His arm extended out and the steel followed as it came across in a sweeping arc of intense speed, power, and precision. All of this in but a single moment, between the rhythm that Uetani had found and when the blade struck true.
What came with it however, was likely unexpected. A sudden invisible force washed over Uetani with such ferocity, such intensity, it was akin to suffocation. As if an immense weight had been placed on her body akin to paralyzing fear of stunned shock. Meta hadn't just hit her with a blade. He had thrown his very will upon her and threatened to crush the young girls very presence of person. It was a force that could crush men and deny them nearly any action. Uetani would find herself unable to act for a few seconds. When that effect finally wore off, she would likely feel a sharp, thin pain upon her person.
Just as she had asked him, the steel had slipped up just above her chest and cut into fabric and flesh with the thinnest of lines left behind. It ran for a few inches before, and it wept red ever so slowly, as if the body was trying to catch up to fixing the new found wound. Meta simply stared down at Uetani, and as everything began to sink in, for a moment it was possible to mistake his eyes for those of a demon.
((Gonna just wave damage. A scar will be left behind a few inches wide, though you could always ask a shugenja to mend it if you so see fit.))

It is with... great difficulty, that she hides her pleasure at the situation. Her breath is heavy, and her eyes glazed. She smiles, far from scared, but falling in the passion and ecstasy of the moment
"Thank you for the lesson, Kakita-no-Thunder. I shall endevour to learn from what you have to teach"

Fuyu watches this with cold calm and calculating eyes, only flinching at the strike. She gives a small bow. "Thank you for your precision Kakita-sama. It seems you have improved much in the time since I saw you fight last. Then again you have had more then worthy foes."

Tsuki watches from the side in quiet anticipation, knowing full well how things were likely to play out. She had rarely ever seen her father duel and when she had nearly every time had been during sparring sessions with her siblings. He had never held anything back on them and he certainly wasn't doing it here either. Tsuki had barely been able to catch everything that happened, but she could see the aftermath of it. She turned away momentarily as she grimaced a bit. She wasn't sure why Uetani seemed so delighted by it, but to each their own.
A wound however should likely be dealt with. Desired or not, blood did tend to have a stigma with it. "Kakita-san, I can tend to the wound so that it at least stops bleeding. If you wish, that is," The priestess called out from her seat.

Meta gives a curt nod towards Fuyuko and Uetani. As he sheathes the blade, he glances over to Fuyuko. "Only a few. Many are too afraid to duel. They train in the blade but won't back up their words. Even to those that lose, they tend to try to come up with some way to save face or make a point. It's pitiful. Your to be adopted daughter has done what few would dare do."
The Crane made his way over to the couches and took up one of the cups of tea, sipping at as he made his way back to his desk. "Learn to better control your emotions, Kakita Uetani-san. you will hinder your own growth if you let them take over."

Fuyu nods. "Perhaps one day, she will be the one to end you. It would be a gesture of love. Those who live by the blade should not die in bed. It's unseemly." she says softly. "If I cannot die by the hand I desire to die by most. I think Uetani-san would make a splendid way to go. Far too many fear death I find. An odd prospect. I only fear what it will cost me in this moment."

The cup of tea was set down beside the picture frame, the once vivid display of steam that had risen from the heated drink now just a faint mirage of itself. Meta took to his seat as he set his sword against the wooden desk before he looked back to Fuyuko with an almost impassive gaze. "No one will ever beat me in a duel, but she is welcome to try," He said as he plucked up the tea, "Once."

She smiles "I have some way to go before I would ever think of trying." she sheathes her own sword and places it back by the door "What does one who has reached such heights do to challenge himself Kakita-no-Thunder?"

Fuyu frowns and gives him a look of genuine sorrow. "I am So sorry. I can't imagine what that is like. I specifically asked my partner to learn to duel so I never had to die of old age."
