She stuck out her tongue, immediately realizing what he was talking about, "Only having one color would be boring. And since I have the uniform I wear for school and work, it is nice to have something to change for my moods."

"Feeling blue/green today?" he asks, teasing her a little more. He slides his deck box back across the table to her, and looks toward the storefront windows. "The rain doesn't get me down like some people. I think of it as... cleansing... and nourishing." He begins to draw some parallels between his thoughts on the weather and a certain other dampness he'd caused, blushing a little as he does.

Momiko nods to the latter part, "Same. Sometimes I think it is all the time I spend out in the gardens. So thinking about it nourishing the plants gives rain a kind of nourishing aspect, like you said. Still, I always bring an umbrella or poncho; I am no plant, after all."
Momiko puts both boxes in her bag.

"I should get an umbrella," Yoshi muses, standing and moving around to Momiko's side of the table. "It just... rarely occurs to me to... buy... things. Plus, up in the mountains, it's more snow than rain a lot of the time." He looks at her bag and reaches out his hand.
"Sorry I didn't offer before, but I can carry that if we're going to look around some more?" he says, not wanting to go back out in the rain or leave her yet, abeit far more the latter than the former.

"You certainly can."
She smiles but doesn't thank him, another of those cases of just expecting things to be offered.
"As far as the rest of the afternoon... I do not know. I wanted to be back in an hour... maybe look around here a bit more, then umbrella shopping?"

Of her few flaws, Yoshi doesn't think Momiko's ingrained expectation of being served was one that needed immediate attention or correction. As a samurai, in a way he was born to serve, and as her boyfriend, he was happy to do it. Her smile was thanks enough for now. He also doesn't hesitate to return it and nod in agreement with her suggestion.
"Sounds good," he tells her. "Maybe we can check out what other games they have? I... don't suppose it would be much good getting any of my own Kaijumon, because I'd never be able to keep up with your collection... if you don't mind me always borrowing some to play with you?" He's curious about what plans might be pressing her to finish their date in the next hour, but he thinks it impolite to ask.

"I do not actually buy many cards, actually. Just the ones at pre-releases or special offers. They are not something I collect like comics. But yeah! They have all sorts of games here; Board games, miniatures, other cards, role playing games. They even have one based on adventuring back in the ancient Empire as samurai. Though it takes a lot of liberties I hear."

"I've read some RPG books, but... never had anyone to play with," Yoshi tells her as they head to the gaming section. "I think you kind of need a group, rather than just two people, though. Not sure if Kobushi, Nade, Hinata, or any of the rest would be into that...." When they arrive, he begins to look at some of the more eye-catching board games, Settlers of the Sands, Twilight Mountain Imperium, Pandemic (some things don't change).
"Hrm... a lot of these are recommend for more than two players too," he says. "Guess we'll have to invite Takano-san if we get one?" He smiles afterward, letting Momiko know he would welcome her sister's inclusion.

"I think she'd enjoy that. Maybe even myself. We don't really have any board games at my place, believe it or not."

"We definintely should get one, then," Yoshi says, though he is a little taken aback on further investigation at how expensive some of them were. "No any though, huh? What did you two do for fun growing up?" He knew from television that playing board games was something that families more normal and caring than his would do together, and though Momiko's was overall hardly normal, her relationship with her sister did seem, at least from what he'd observed, to be pretty typical.
