"Mmmm... well we had braile playing cards and a copy of Spinner; You know, that mat with all the colored dots on it? But just two people is never very fun for that, and I always won since she is younger and not all... well, you know. Besides, Mother keeps it in her room."

Yoshi is familiar with the game but doesn't actually know exactly how "not all" was supposed to end. He presumes that Takano's failure to win had something to do with her health issues and not having the stamina to maintain an awkward position for very long. Also, despite his inexperience with such things, he can pretty easily surmise why a game involving random bodily contact might have an added dimension of appeal to teens and adults, such that it would be kept in the Asahina matriarch's bedroom. He'd certainly seen enough of her body in an infamous photo to know that, in an entirely infeasible set of circumstances that involved him not being in a committed relationship with her daughter and her being a generally nicer person, he wouldn't mind some contact with it himself.
"I know some regular card games too, from watching others play when they'd let me," Yoshi says, getting back on topic so as to banish any lingering impure thoughts. Also, not wishing to take advantage of Momiko's wealth or generosity, he adds, "So maybe we don't have to buy anything new... and we can play cards again without me having to borrow your collectibles."

"Hm? Sure, that sounds fine. Though I do not know..."
Momiko looks over the shelves and ends up picking up a copy of a game.
"This one has a lot of awards, so why not give it a try?"
It ends up being Pandemic.

"Oh, yeah, that one does seem good," Yoshi says, looking it over. "Hey... it says it's cooperative! That's really neat; you don't just play against each other, you have to work together, and everyone wins or loses." The idea clearly appealed to Yoshi a great deal. It wasn't too expensive either, compared to some of the other more massive boxes around it, which was another plus for him.
"Let me pay for it, as a gift for you and Takano-san?" he suggests.

"Mmm."
Momiko gives a nod and hands the box to Yoshi.

Yoshi smiles and nods, then heads up to the register with the box and gets out his debit card. The game was still a decent amount, but he's glad to be providing something fun and useful to his girlfriend and the sibling whose company he'd quite enjoyed when meeting her. He supposes he'll have to get a cheaper umbrella wherever they go next, but even a cheap one was better than none. He ties off the plastic bag that the cashier gives him, to make sure it's got as much protection as possible from the downpour outside.
"Is the place to buy umbrellas close by?" he asks hopefully, rejoining her after making the purchase. Although, the next thought he has is of them huddling close together under Momiko's, which seems quite appealing and romantic.

Momiko picks up her umbrella as they get to the door, "Hai, it certainly is. Well, sort of; Three blocks north. That shouldn't be so bad."
Opening the door she opens her umbrella and beckons Yoshi to follow her.

"No, not too bad," he agrees as he pulls on his jacket and joins her at the door, warming more and more to the idea of huddling together. Though, if that wasn't the plan, he'd still be fine. He decides it would be good to confirm the plan before assuming either. "Do you want to try to share yours on the way? Or would it be easier if I pulled my jacket up over my head, and we just go as fast as we can?"

Momiko answers that by hugging herself to his side and half pulling him with her, which is easy enough being taller and pretty darn strong. She does it so he doesn't get wet.
"You do not mind if it is like this?" she asks as the rain pelts the umbrella, "I do not want you to get soaked, so I was going to lead."

"This is perfect," he tells her, a smile in his voice even if they're too smooshed together for her to see it clearly on his face. Three blocks pass by in a flash, through laughter, avoiding puddles, startling flashes of lightning, and just being with each other. Almost too soon it seems, they arrive at their next destination.
