Hisui only smiles in response. She felt better, saying such important words out loud. Akane was smarter than the Spider gave herself credit for. The Utaku knew she'd understand. "You invite me to your wedding when you get married to whoever, alright? I want to sit there and cry my eyes out like you did when Aiko-chan got married."

Akane chuckled, "I got scolded for that, if you remember. And who knows? Eito-kun said he'd be willing to do everything in his power to get the Spider Champion to let him marry me. So maybe someone will actually be able to do something about that?"

"Love? I suppose that's a hard thing to decide. I don't feel the same way for him that I feel for you or Kunshu or Aiko. So there's that. But I'm comfortable around him, and happy. It seems like if I keep waiting for someone I'm truly passionate about, though, that I'll turn into an old spinster, no?"

Hisui blushes hard again. She knew how intensely Akane felt about Aiko and Kunshu. It was that same comfortable intensity she felt for Fuyuko. To hear her name lined up against such women so suddenly was unexpected. Thankfully, she does recover enough to reply.
"I hope not. But I'm just worried that you might be feeling you have to get married now or it'll never happen. It's good to hear you're at least comfortable with him. Is he alright with you, though? Not the sort to make you do anything you don't want to? I don't think he is, but you know him better than I do."

"I've never known him to pressure me into anything, no. I mean, I don't always understand him, but he seems like he means well, you know? He doesn't talk above me or anything like that, and he's not much for scolding me. ...though maybe that last part isn't a good thing, considering everyone who cares for me scolds me."
She touched a finger to her chin thoughtfully.

"Well, someone has to keep you from doing anything reckless," Hisui says, letting her blush fade. "But he does care, from what I've seen. I think he's just a little unsure. Like he doesn't want to seem like he's tying you down. He hasn't learned how to keep you in line while still letting you be you, Akane-chan."
She pets her beautiful friend's head a little. A gentle, familial touch.

Akane chuckled softly, "Mmmmm... so in other words, I need a lion tamer. In a way. That fits with my self image."
She smiled softly, closing her eyes at how relaxing the touch was.
