Izumi nodded excitedly at the lesson plan making sure to leave plenty of space around her before she started her warm ups. She was excited for a chance to test her skills against a wide variety of techniques and see how skilled she was. It would be an interesting exercise and tell her where she needed to improve. Whilst she did not like the disrespect he was showing the teacher and students she largely ignored the unfolding argument between the Unicorn and the Dragon focused instead on her familiar warm up. Her technique was fairly technical, focused on the intricacies and moving sections of each kata.

"I'm not that terrible," he says with a smile.
He gives her a final nod before going into his own practice forms. His motions are smooth but utilitarian, without grace or art. Only force and balance. Very much unlike a Crane, and more like the Crab who trained him.

Mirumoto Sakura In the midst of the chaos created by the Dragon and Unicorn students, Sakura would hear that familiar voice chiming in. I can't believe your mother is letting this level of disrespect go unpunished. Did she learn nothing from me about Loyalty? Perhaps my mother has other concerns.Sakura starts going through her kata and stretches, not used to answering for the behavior of others, let alone her own. Oh, of course. After all, her little bundle of joy is here and she can't show favoritism The sarcasm in the yokai's tone made it clear she knew what the girl that'd taken her name meant.

Kaizen takes a bokken off the rack and begins to practice his swings. there is lots of power behind his strikes, but not a lot of control. it would seem that the weight of the weapon is the issue for him. its not something he is use to.

Noboru noticed Kaizen's strikes and shook his head slowly. As he continued to stretch out he moved a bit closer to the strange white-haired boy and muttering under his breath. "You wield it like it's a club. A katana isn't a blunt instrument meant for shattering bones. It's an elegant weapon that should be used with speed and grace."

"Hai, sensei. It won't happen again." Ryouko replied to the teacher, before taking a step away from others. She took a moment to center herself, before beginning a slow set of katas meant to stretch her muscles. She paused a few times, gauging how far she could go before her sore ribs complained too much. It seemed her movements were almost the total opposite of the Mitsu; great control, but low strength behind the blows.

Kaizen feels like he will do ok, so long as he can hit he should be ok. Finess is not the young man's fine points after all.

Satoru takes a bokken off the rack himself and prepared for practice, stretches first, then kata.
Today his movement is saturated in thought. Every strike is deliberate, but not all that flexible, but he seems a great deal more focused now than he had in Iaijutsu class yesterday. Even with less sleep under his belt, he is experiencing a second wind. It's likely that he might crash later.

"You wield it like it's a club. A katana isn't a blunt instrument meant for shattering bones. It's an elegant weapon that should be used with speed and grace." It would seem that the comment was heard as he shifted his grip, and changed up his stance a bit. But the big guy still muscled it too much. He had about as much grace as an elephant playing soccer.

The Crane collected his bokken and proceeded to begin his drills, warming up with single-man kata. The Kakita moved gracefully through his maneuvers, striking with both precision and speed. At the end of every set he reset, beginning a new as he eased into the motions. It was something he was very used to, certainly one of his better skill sets. That, of course, came from being raised by a staunch traditionalist of a father.
