Ichiro grabbed his bokken and began his exercises. He was working through a few kata his attacks were precise and fierce containing a lot of speed and force his movements were graceful, he hadn't fallen into the battle trance yet. He was always able to calmly move through solo forms with grace and technique but that all melted away when he faced an opponent.

Sakura does her warm-ups away from the main group, centering herself and going through a series of single blade kata that seem to mix in the tiniest bit of jiu-jitsu. And by tiniest bit, it means there is the odd punch and sweeping kick thrown in to make openings for a blow with the blade.

So, why did you take my name? Why are you, of all people, carrying my daisho? Are you trying to prove something? To bring honor to where I had none?

Noboru moved a little closer to Ryouko as he continued to stretch, his eyes meeting the Unicorn maiden's in a dead stare. He finished his stretches by rolling out his shoulders, which could be heard popping inside the dojo. His dark eyes studied Ryouko for a moment or two before the Dragon finally picked up a shinai, walked back to her, then entered a highly unusual stance even for a Dragon. His right hand was kept free and extended toward the Utaku while his left gripped the tsuka of the bamboo weapon lightly. Sakura would most likely recognize the stance as one her own sensei would have taught her...
...his training had not been in the Niten as most would have probably assumed.

OOC: If you want to PM your answers so they're not in the public eye, feel free. If you want to ignore her, feel free A deep breath, centering herself. A moment of quiet reflection. Then an answer. No. Not because of Honor or anything like that. Because there have been two things in the world that put me at ease. One is the path I chose as a warrior. The other. When I was younger, I saw a play for the first time with some of my cousins. And on stage, I saw a world that was both real and unreal. And I saw in that something I wanted to do. And so, I talked to my mother. And she told me stories about an actress she once knew who could get so into any role, you would believe she was the person she was portraying. And yet, this actress was never able to walk the stage she deserved to walk. I...saw in that person, someone I could relate to. Someone of whom much was expected, and yet...no honor or recognition given. So, I figured, if I was one to remember her, to give her name a chance to be seen on the program of the stage she was best suited for, I perhaps might help her spirit rest a little easier, knowing that her art outlasted her life and was an inspiration beyond the clan she served most faithfully. And with that, she opens her eyes, making note of those around her. Sometimes, confession was good for the soul, even if no one was aware of it.

The only entity that needed to be aware of it went strangely silent. For whatever time the yokai had been haunting the young Dragon woman, it was the first time she'd been present and gone speechless. It was almost a full minute before any type of reply came.
And now you understand a Scorpion's duty. Is that the path you wish to forge for yourself? To walk where I walked? To tread where I dared go? I did some things that your mother will never know about or understand. Things that would bring her to fury and tears if she knew the truth. And yet, despite these things she had been one of the few people truly deserving of my loyalty. The lies I told, the lives I destroyed... If this is the legacy you wish to live up to, you have a long way to go to truly understand me.

Ryouko's gaze flickered to the Dragon, acknowledging his presence with a slight nod. And then proceeded to ignore him. If the boy wanted to pick a fight, she wouldn't encourage it. Until the teacher decided they had stretched enough, she would keep doing her kata, slowly testing how much pain her bruised ribs caused her.
Her features gave nothing away of the pain she was in as she kept a blank mask, going over her movements with practiced precision.

Aiko looks around at the students, now that they have gone through their basic warmups, she stretches and nods. "Alright. We'll do this two sets at a time. First two pairings. Ichiro Priya and Utaku Ryouko. Mitsu Kaizen and Mirumoto Noboru. First to three touches." ((To keep things simple, we'll do this as opposed Kenjutsu/Agi rolls. You may call raises for added flourish. Roll them one set at a time!))

[[ Kenjutsu class (1): 7d10ro1o10k3 20]] Ryouko glanced toward Noboru, offering the man a small shrug before she headed to face off the badger. She bowed back to the woman. "Ichiro-san." She answered her, before taking her stance. It was an odd one for anyone used only to katana stances. While the basic stance of having her feet spread shoulder lengt and facing forward with the body angled toward the front was similar, the Unicorn didn't hold her bokken with two hands. Instead she held it with one, angled parallel to the ground, and not pointed upward as a katana would. As Priya moved forward to hit her, Ryouko raised her own wooden blade, slipping slightly to the side to dodge the blow before tapping the girl's side. "Touch one." She called, before stepping slightly to the side in preparation for the following strikes.
