Kobushi still isn't sure what was wrong, but he was sure now that something was up. But dense as he could be, he wasn't about to do anything that might potentially upset her. He decided she'd open up about it on her own terms.

Ichiro sort of hangs out and tries not to laugh at the scene in front of him. He merely goes through some stretches to cool down and keep his muscles limber. "Rodrigo" he finally says "want to maybe learn a bit about hand to hand fighting?"

"Awesome" Ichiro walks over to a training dummy and shows Rodrigo a couple of the moves and strikes in juijutsu giving him a lot of the basics. After a few rounds of back and forth practice with the dummy he turns to the other boy "so you want to try a little spar? Just practicing different holds and throws?"

"If you want to try and land a punch, let me know so I dont end up with a black eye or a broken nose." She lets the jest hang in the air, ready for a response before taking a stance. |

Rodrigo raised a brow at the striking display, and tried to follow along. He did decently, for someone who had never done it before, but he frowned once he was done.
"Well...we certainly don't have anything like that Merenae."
He shrugged, and chuckled.
"I am certain I can learn, though. Who knows? I might even beat you with a bit of training."
He turned to Ichiro, his grin equal parts cocky and playful.
"Let's see what happens, eh?"

"I've kind of been trained to not know how to hold my punches," he explains, sounding as apologetic as he can. "So if I actually manage to land a hit, please understand I really don't want to injure you or anything." Ryuha was a capable opponent. She showed her best when they sparred last time. If her defensive stance hadn't changed since before, he could have landed a hit. But she was on the defensive, and that meant his attack missed the mark. OOC: TN15 if Ryuha wants to hit back. |

"If you do, I won't take it personally. I know what I'm getting myself into," the girls nods with a smile, just dodging out of the way of one of his blows. She felt confidently enough defensively, so she didn't shift her stance any, waiting for the next series of attacks to come.
(Keeping same TN from Def 3 mastery until Kobushi hits)

He nods, returning her smile. It was good seeing her back to her usual self. He decides that if she was at her usual self, he might as well apply the lessons of his training. He makes his move, but it's a miss. This is turning out a lot like last time, he thinks. |

Takezou shows up again for morning training in the dojo and finds it to be fairly active once more. He gives a nod of acknowledgement to Rodrigo but can see it seems he is training with the Lion. He goes to setup where he can watch both groups spar. A bit disappointed to find everyone else training in hand to hand combat. Takezou begins going though his iaijutsu kata perhaps trying to lose himself a bit in the repetition.
